We are here in San Francisco on invitation from Qualcomm to benchmark their Snapdragon 800 processor (MSM8974) which features a 28nm HPm quad core Krait 400 CPU capable of running at 2.3 GHz per core and the new Adreno 330 GPU. It is expected to be the fastest mobile processor in the market and even beat the Samsung Exynos 5 Octa and Qualcomm’s own Snapdragon 600 processor in terms of benchmarks and performance. Domo Gadgets has launched the nTice F12 and nTice A10, the company’s latest smartphones. The F12 is a mid-range Android smartphone with a large screen and the A10, and entry-level Android smartphone with 2G (EDGE) support. The nTice F12 has a 5.2-inch (480 x 800 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core  MediaTek MT6577 processor and runs on Android Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Tthe Domo A10 has a 4-inch (480 x 800 pixels) capacitive touch screen IPS display, powered by a 1GHz single-core processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). iBall Slide 7334i with 7-inch display, 3G and Voice calling launched for Rs. 10499

iBall has launched the Slide 7334i, the company’s latest Android tablet. It has a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a dual-core 1 GHz Cortex A9 processor. It runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean),  comes with a 2-megapixel rear camera with flash and a VGA front-facing camera. It has dual SIM support with 3G on both, voice calling and FM Radio.  Celkon launched the CT888 Tablet with a similar 7-inch display and FM Radio, but it has a single-core processor and runs on Android ICS. HTC Desire 200 with 3.5-inch display, Beats Audio announced

HTC has officially announced the Desire 200, the company’s latest budget Android smartphone. It was leaked recently and has a 3.5-inch (320 x 480 pixels) display, powered by a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and features a 5-megapixel camera. Details about the Android version is not available but it is likely to be 4.0 or 4.1. It has Beats audio support and comes with in-ear headset. The looks like an enhanced version Desire C that was launched last year. Even the rear part of the device looks similar to the Desire C. Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 Review

The Galaxy Note 8.0 launched way back in February, at the Mobile World Congress as the first 8 inch screened device in the Galaxy Note series. The surprising addition was that the cellular edition of the device could make calls and lets you use it like a phone thanks to the on-device ear piece. It was extremely awkward to see people holding a huge device to their face but worry not, we have got the 16 GB WiFi only version for review here and we are going to see whether the Note 8.0 is really worth your money. Xolo Q1000 Unboxing

Amidst a sea of 5 inch phablets in the mid range category comes Xolo’s entry, the Q1000. Launched a while back, for a price of Rs. 14,999, the device has landed in our labs for testing. The 5 inch 720p screen has been a standard in most devices in this price range and they all come with very similar specs, so we went ahead and unboxed the Xolo Q1000 for you, with an unsuspecting view of the retail box contents and some initial thoughts on the device, watch the video –

Sony Xperia ZR now available in India for Rs. 29990


Sony Xperia ZR that went on pre-order online last week is now available for purchase from online retailers in India. The durable smartphones was announced last month and has IP55 and IP58 ratings for dust and water resistance. It has a 4.55-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) Reality display with mobile Bravia Engine 2 and is powered by 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm APQ 8064 processor with Adreno 320 GPU and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It packs a 13-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED Flash, Exmor RS sensor for HDR images and offers underwater image and video capture since it is water resistant up to 1.50 meters for up to 30 minutes. Nexus 7 successor surfaces, might feature a Snapdragon 600 processor

A code-named ASUS K009, with the FCC ID code MSQK009 was certified in the U.S last week. The tablet has also surfaced in the Bluetooth SIG listing last week that shows the front part of the tablet in a tiny image. Rumors of the second-gen Nexus 7 surfaced back in April, and Reuters revealed that the tablet would feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor instead of NVIDIA Tegra chip. HTC Desire 200, a budget Android smartphone has surfaced Vietnamese website. HTC unveiled the Desire 600 dual SIM last month, looks like the company is slowly changing the way they name the device. The Desire 200 would feature a 3.5-inch (320 x 480 pixels) display, 1 GHz processor  and run on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) with Sense UI. It would also feature 5MP camera, Beats audio support and pack a 1400 mAh battery. The looks like an enhanced version of the Desire C that was launched last year. Micromax Canvas 4 teased again in two videos, design is all but revealed

It was only yesterday when Micromax had started the teaser campaign in Facebook for its upcoming flagship device, the Micromax Canvas 4, and as a follow up, they have released two teaser videos in their YouTube channel showing off the device in (almost) full glory. The design revealed, bears a close resemblance to some other phones we have seen, but it does seems to have an aluminium frame and the 13 Megapixel camera unit was proudly boasted in the first teaser video. CPUID has released the CPU-Z, popular PC/Windows CPU Identification for Android. This shows SoC name, architecture, clock speed for each core, Battery info, Sensors and more for your Android device. Senors tab is one of the most useful feature that lets you find the number of sensor on your device. It works on Android devices running on Android 3.0 or above. CPUID says that the interface (tabs + swipe) requires Android 3.0, hence the restriction. Yahoo has updated the Sports app to version 4.0 on Android and iOS that brings iPad support, new design and lots more new features. The app is faster and easier to scan, navigate and consume and the extra screen space lets you read an articles while keeping an eye on the scores.
