Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom Unboxing

We have an exclusive unboxing of the just announced Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom camera phone first on FoneArena which was showcased at an event in London last month where we got a hands on this super-sized camera phone.The S4 Zoom is basically a Galaxy S4 mini with a zoom lens attached to it on the back. It looks like a phone from the front but the moment you get a glimpse of that 10x zoom lens on the back, you just can’t continue to think of the Galaxy S4 zoom as a phone, it feels more like a mini version of the Galaxy Camera which was launched last year.The main difference between the two is that the S4 Zoom can make phone calls while the Galaxy Camera can’t. We got hold of the retail package from the Middle-East and here is a look at the device and the package contents. Check out the unboxing video below

The version 2.0 update for iPhone and iPad brings new formatting options and the iPad app lets you access rich formatting options easily. The Android app version 15.0 update brings option to record audio notes, Home screen widgets and lots more features. Skype for Android has received a major update to version 4.0.0.17847 that brings a redesigned user interface that now looks more like the Skype Windows Phone app. The app has been completely refreshed from the ground up that makes it faster and more reliable. It gives you easy access to the recent conversations, video calls, voice calls and more. Skype says that they have concentrated more on stability, performance, and load time. The new update also offers unlimited video messaging that was available in for the v4.9 update for the iPhone and iPad. Lenovo K900 Gaming Performance Overview

While we are busy writing our complete review of the Lenovo K900, we thought it would be right to show you the gaming performance overview, as a glimpse into the performance aspect of the Intel Z2580 system on a chip residing inside this flagship device. The 2 GHz dual core processor has a total of 4 threads thanks to Intel’s own Hyper Threading technology and giving company is the PowerVR SGX 544 MP2 for graphics. Impressively enough, the GPU is clocked at a high 533 MHz frequency, making it one of the fastest clock rates for the specific model. All said, lets move on to the gaming part of the device then!

Android 4.3 that is yet to be released has leaked from a Google Play edition of the Samsung Galaxy S4. The Google Play Editions of the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the HTC One went on sale in the U.S. few days back. It would not be shipped until 9th July, but some got early access to the device. Sammobile obtained the screenshots that revealed the Galaxy S4 running stock Android 4.3. Later they released the stock ROM of the Android 4.3 for the Snapdragon version of the Galaxy S4 (GT-I9505). You can now click the camera switch button in the recording mode to switch the camera. The Vine for iPhone got this feature the version 1.1 update last month. Facebook begins Android Beta Program, v3.4 Beta brings new features

Facebook has started their first Android Beta Program that would let the beta testers to test the app before it is released for everyone. The version 3.4 beta for Android brings new features for Both the Facebook app and the Facebook Home including option to share News Feed stories in a private message, Option to organize your apps with folders in Facebook Home and lots more. Google developing Android gaming console, new Nexus Q and more for the big refresh – WSJ

The Wall Street Journal is always a bit of a hit or miss when it comes to rumours and its sources, so take this with a pinch of slat. Google is reportedly developing its own Android based gaming console, inspired by the Ouya, says the publication according to “people familiar with the matter”. This doesn’t come as a surprise because a start up funded by Kickstarter has already pioneered this idea in the form of the Ouya, and just like what Google did after the Kindle Fire, we guess it will take the opportunity to follow through with the disruption.

Firefox Beta for Android updated with new Awesome Bar, updated RSS feed reader and more

Firefox has updated the beta version of the Android app to version 23 that brings lot of new features. The Awesome Bar now automatically hides while not in use, to make your entire small screen available for browsing. It also includes domain autocomplete, which will complete your URL destination as you type. The update also lets you add default search provider directly from the add-ons manager and adds updated RSS feed reader to create a simple way to subscribe to an RSS feed. The update also brings support for Turkish and Hungarian locales.

New Android 4.3 camera and gallery app emerges [Download]

It was rumoured that Android 4.3 will be launched with the stock HTC One version, but there was no trace of the new version of Android when the device was launched recently. Recently the camera interface for the Android 4.3 was leaked by someone having 4.3 running on a Nexus 4 at a Thai expo. The new UI was supposed to come with Android 4.3, instead Google has decided to put some new features of Android 4.3 on these phones instead of the complete new update. Now, we have the apk and you can install it in any device just like you install any application.
