Airtel partnered with Karbonn Mobiles last month to launch Karbonn A40 Indian, 4G VoLTE phone at an effective price of Rs. 1399. Later it launched the Celkon Smart 4G at an effective price of Rs. 1349. Now it has launched two more Karbonn 4G VoLTE smartphones – Karbonn A1 Indian with support for 22 Indian languages and A41 Power with a 2300mAh battery

T-Mobile and Sprint officially end merger talks

T-Mobile and Sprint have said they have ceased discussions to merge into a single entity since they could not find mutually agreeable terms. Both the companies have been open to idea of merging for the past few years. Back in September there were reports of talks of merger, later in October new reports said that the companies might announce a merger by the end of the month, but Sprint eventually pulled out due to ownership concerns.

iPhone X will be available from Airtel Online Store starting November 3

Airtel today announced that the iPhone X will go on sale on Airtel’s Online Store starting 6.00 pm, November 3, 2017. It will be available exclusively to Airtel postpaid customers as an unlocked device on a first come first serve and full payment basis, till stocks last, said Airtel. It will also deliver the phone in 21 cities across India free of charge to customers’ doorstep. The company did not introduce any special plans for the iPhone X.

Reliance Communications completes Sistema’s MTS merger transaction

Reliance Communications (RCOM) today announced that it has completed merger transaction with Sistema’s Indian wireless business, carried on by Sistema Shyam Teleservices Ltd. Reliance Jio might stop JioPhone production to launch Android smartphone soon

Reliance Jio’s VoLTE feature phone – JioPhone which was launched back in July went on sale in India in August. The JioPhone is powered by KaiOS, and now the production of the JioPhone has been kept on hold, according to a new report. It is heard that the company is in talks to bring out an Android-based phone.

After Karbonn, Airtel has partnered with Celkon to launch Celkon Smart 4G, a VoLTE phone with support for 24 Indian languages at an effective price of Rs. 1349. It is part of Airtel’s Mera Pehla 4G Smartphone initiative under which the operator will partner with multiple mobile manufacturers in an aim to create an ‘open ecosystem’ of affordable 4G smartphones and bring them to market for virtually the price of a feature phone.
