Reliance Jio today launched Happy New Year 2018 plans, just in time for the new year. The Rs. 199 and Rs. 299 monthly plans offer better data benefits for monthly users, compared to the existing Rs. 149 plan that offers just 4.2GB data for the month, but these have the same 28-days validity.

1.2GB daily data that comes with Rs. 199 plan is not much compared to the 1GB data that comes with other plans that also offer more validity. The current Rs. 509 plan that offers 2GB data per day with 49 days validity offer slightly better value for money compared to the Rs. 299 plan. These plans go live from tomorrow.
Airtel, Vodafone and others offer only 1GB data per day for Rs. 199 and their plans that offer 2GB data per day cost Rs. 349. So these Jio plans still cheaper.
