Idea Cellular has also reduced 3G tariffs followed by Aircel, Airtel and Vodafone. They launched 3G services in India last March and Double Data offer later that offered twice the data for select plans. Idea has reduced 3G rate up to 70% would offer on the go data rates at 3p/10 KB for pre-paid and post-paid users. Rs. 10 will now offer 30 minutes of internet surfing, HERO-25 sachet pack which will give 100 MB data with 3 days validity at just Rs. 25. Reliance to roll out 4G network in India in partnership with HFCL

 

Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) plans to roll out 4G network in India in partnership with Himachal Futuristic Communications Ltd (HFCL) according to Economic Times. Reliance Industries bought 95% stake in Infotel Broadband in June 2010 which is is the only firm to win broadband spectrum in all 22 circles in India. Airtel launches new affordable 3G plans


Airtel has launched new 3G plans for pre-paid and post-paid customers after Aircel launched new 3G plans last month. They have also introduced Smartbytes additional data usage packs for its postpaid Airtel mobile customers on 3G. Now the plans start at 10MB that would offer 30 minutes of 3G access valid for 1 day. Now Rs. 100 pack offers 300MB free data, Rs. 250 3G pack would offer 1GB of free data, Rs. 450 pack would offer 2GB of free data and Rs 1500 pack would offer 10GB free data that are valid for 30 days. Nokia brings Nokia Store operator billing to Vodafone and Airtel


Nokia has announced that have partnered with Vodafone India and Airtel to offer integrated billing solutions on the Nokia Store in India. They partnered with Reliance to introduce operator billing on Nokia Store last year. This would let users download local and global paid content from the Nokia Store and pay for their downloads as part of their monthly mobile phone bills or have the amount deducted from the pre-paid balance.
