OPPO partners with Jio to conduct 5G trials on Reno 7 Series

During the budget 2022-23 session earlier this month, the government confirmed that 5G spectrum auction will take place in India this year, and the roll-out will happen in 2022-23 period. Several smartphone manufactures have been testing 5G on their smartphones in partnership with telecom players.

Infinix partners with Jio to conduct 5G trials for ZERO 5G ahead of India launch on Feb 14

Infinix already confirmed that launch of ZERO 5G, the company’s first 5G smartphone in India on February 14th, and it was introduced for global markets earlier this week. Today, it has announced that it has partnered with Jio to conduct 5G trails for the phone. Reliance Jio hikes prepaid tariffs by up to 21%; plans now start from Rs. 91

After Airtel and Vodafone Idea’s announcement in the past one week, Reliance Jio has also revised its  tariff plans for prepaid users in India. However, Jio’s plans are still cheaper than Vi and Airtel. The base plan for JioPhone users now start at Rs. 91, a 21.3% hike, and the other plans have seen a hike of about 20%. JioPhone Next specs surface: HD+ screen, Android 11 (Go Edition), Qualcomm 215 SoC

Now the specifications of the phone has surfaced through the software. This reveals the model number of the phone as LS-5701-J, comes with DuoGo preinstalled, but this is not said to be optimized for the phone. Reliance Retail acquires controlling stake in Just Dial for Rs. 3497 crores

Reliance Retail today announced that it will acquire a controlling stake in Just Dial, India’s leading local search engine platform, for a total consideration of Rs. 3,497 crores. Reliance Retail will hold 40.95% and would make an open offer to acquire up to 26% in accordance with SEBI. VSS Mani will continue as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer to lead Just Dial through the next phase of growth. Reliance Jio announces 5G partnership with Google Cloud

During their 44th annual general meeting (AGM), Reliance Jio announced a new partnership with Google, where the two companies will collaborate to integrate Jio’s 5G technologies with Google Cloud’s scalable infrastructure. As a part of their partnership, Reliance will also be moving many of their their core retail businesses to Google Cloud.
