Lenovo has launched two new smartphones in the A series, a budget smartphone called the A1000 with 3G support and an improved version of the A6000 Plus called the A6000 Shot with a better 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing. It has also launched the K3 Note Music smartphone, which is the same K3 Note smartphone that comes with a ceramic speakers on the back that has Smart PA audio chip and Waves MaxxAudio technology that amplifies the sound and improves the audio. Alcatel has launched its latest camera-centric Flash 2 smartphone in India, as it promised. It packs a 5-inch HD screen, is powered by an Octa-Core 64-bit MediaTek processor and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) OS. It has a 13-megapixel gSight rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) that would let you focus a subject in just 0.3 seconds. All these have 15.6-inch (1366 x 768 pixels) HD displays with Asus Splendid Technology and automatic colour adjustment, are powered by Intel processors and have 4GB of RAM.  All these have SonicMaster offering optimized audio performance.

Apple iPad mini 4 now available in India starting at Rs. 28900

Apple iPad mini 4Apple introduced the iPad mini 4 along with the iPad Air Pro at its event in California last month. Now the tablet is available for purchase from online retailer Infibeam at the same price of last year’s iPad mini 3. The iPad mini 4 has the same 7.9 inch Retina Display with 2048×1536 resolution seen on last year’s iPad mini 3 with Retina Display, but this has Apple A8 chip with M8 motion co-processor. Vodafone India to roll out 4G services in Delhi, NCR by December 2015

Vodafone already announced that it will launch 4G services in India by December 2015. It also said that Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Kochi circles will get 4G first. Today the operator has announced that it will roll out 4G services in Delhi/NCR region by December 2015. “Key corridors of Delhi/NCR will be part of the first wave of the 4G roll-out, which will be launched across the circle in a phased manner”, said Vodafone. OnePlus introduces two extended service plans for OnePlus 2 in India

OnePlus has introduced extended service plans, B2X Service and B2X Protect for the OnePlus 2. Every OnePlus 2 smartphone comes with manufacturer’s warranty for the device for up to a year from the date of purchase. The new B2X Service plan cover all defects that are covered under manufacturer’s warranty for another more year after the expiry of the original manufacturer’s warranty for the device and the B2X Protect service covers accidental, physical & liquid damage to OnePlus 2 during the first year of the product purchase, says the company. TRAI mandates operators to credit Re. 1 to consumers per dropped call from Jan 2016

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has issued Telecom Consumers Protection (Ninth Amendment) Regulations, 2015 that will come into force from the 1st January, 2016. Under this new amendment, TRAI has mandated originating mobile providers to credit one Rupee for a dropped call to the calling consumers as notional compensation.
