Intex Aqua Marvel+, successor of the Aqua Marvel has surfaced on the official Intex website. The Intex Aqua Marvel+ has a 3.5-inch (480 x 320 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbead), similar to its predecessor, but the Marvel+ has a 5-megapixels camera and the battery capacity is down to 1400 mAh from 1450 mAh. LG Optimus L5 II dual now available in India for Rs. 11499

The LG Optimus L3 II Dual (E435) and the Optimus L7 II Dual (P715) officially launched in India earlier this month. The Optimus L5 II dual (E455) is now available from online retailer Infibeam in India. It has a 4-inch (800 × 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen IPS display, powered by a 1 GHz processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5 MP camera with LED Flash. Idea Cellular has launched the AURUS 2, successor of the first AURUS phone that was launched last year. It has a 3.5 inch (320 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display similar its predecessor, but this runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and is powered by a 1 GHz processor, instead of 800MHz processor. It has a 3.2MP rear camera and a VGA front-facing camera for video calling. It is aimed at 3G users in semi-urban and rural markets. Vodafone and ICICI Bank partner to launch M-Pesa mobile money transfer and payment service

Vodafone India has partnered with ICICI Bank to launch M-Pesa, a mobile money transfer and payment service. It offers a simple and secure way to transfer money and make payments with the security of financial transactions provided by ICICI Bank. Vodafone India through its subsidiary, Mobile Commerce Solutions Ltd. (MCSL) and ICICI Bank announced the M-Pesa back in November 2012. Sony Xperia SP goes on sale in India for Rs. 25490


Sony launched the Xperia SP in India last week at an MRP of Rs. 27490. The phone is now on sale from online retailer Infibeam. The Sony Xperia SP was announced last month and packs a 4.6-inch 720p HD Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, powered by a 1.7 GHz Dual-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8960Pro processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 8MP auto focus camera with LED Flash, Exmor RS sensor and a VGA front-facing camera. It also comes with pre-loaded Sony Music music streaming app that would offer 6 months unlimited music streaming and the Sony LIV video streaming app that would let you watch over 77 Sony TV shows. Nokia Lumia 720 goes on sale in India at a price of Rs. 18999

Nokia Lumia 720 finally goes on sale in India from the official Nokia India Online Shop. It was unveiled at the MWC 2013 back in February. Nokia launched the Lumia 720 in India last month along with the Lumia 520. It went on pre-order online from Flipkart couple of days back. It has a 4.3-inch  (800 x 480 pixels) ClearBlack display, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8227 processor and runs on the latest Windows Phone 8 OS. It has a 6.7-megapixel auto focus camera at the back with LED Flash, Carl Zeiss optics and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. AOC, popular for it’s monitors and Televisions has entered into the tablet market with the launch of two new Android tablets under the Breeze category. These come in 7-inch and 9.7-inch displays, powered by a 1.5 GHz processor and runs on Android 4.1.1 (Jelly Bean). The display resolutions of these tablets are not available yet. The 9.7-inch Breeze tablet has a micro-HDMI port that would let you connect it to external devices such as Monitors, TVs, and Projectors. Samsung Galaxy S4 likely to launch in India on April 27th at around Rs.40000

The Samsung Galaxy S4 might be coming to India as soon as April 27th. The Korean smartphone giant is gearing up to launch the Galaxy S4 in several countries across the world on April 26-27th. Samsung launched the much anticipated successor to the Galaxy S3 at a launch event in New York City last month . India is a key market for Samsung and would be getting the flagship Android device pretty soon. The S4 features a 5 inch display , quad-core or octa-core processor (depending on the market), Android 4.2.2 , 13 Megapixel camera, 2600 mAh battery and many other interesting features.

Groupon India has launched the Groupon app for iPhone in India. Crazeal.com’s Indian arm was rebranded as Groupon India last year. The latest update for the Groupon for iPhone brings the option to buy Groupons in India. The Groupon app offers several deals around you, and is already available in 48 countries. It lets you buy, redeem and organize your purchases effectively. It automatically shows the best deals in your city based on your GPS location, and also has option to view deals in other cities. Alcatel One Touch has launched the One Touch Idol and One Touch Idol Ultra, new Android smartphones in India. Both these smartphones were announced earlier this year. The One Touch Idol has a 4.5-inch (540 x 960 Pixels) qHD IPS display  and the One Touch Idol Ultra comes with a 4.7-inch (720 x 1280 pixels) HD AMOLED display with Corning gorilla glass protection. These phones run on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and has a 8MP rear camera with LED Flash and 720p HD video recording. The  One Touch Idol Ultra would be featured in the Iron Man 3 movie that is releasing later this month. Gionee launched the Dream D1, the company’s flagship smartphone in India last month, which we reviewed recently. Now the company has launched Gionee P1, an entry-level Android smartphone in India. It has a  3.5-inch (480 x 320 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1GHz MediaTek MT6515M processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It has a 2-megapixel rear camera (but on the press render above it’s mentioned as 1.3MP) and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. Intex launched the Aqua Wonder Quadcore, successor of the Aqua Wonder today. Two new phones Aqua Glow and the Aqua Active are listed on the official Intex website. The Intex Aqua Glow has a 4.0-inch (480 x 800 Pixels) capacitive touch screen display and the Aqua Active has a 3.5-inch (480 x 320 pixels) capacitive touch screen display Both these phones are powered by a 1 GHz Spreadtrum SC6820 processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread).
