Videocon Mobiles has launched  new range of Android smartphones,  A55HD, A55qHD, A54, A53, A52, A48, A42 and A31 under new Infinium sub-brand. These Android-powered  3G smartphones are aimed at both first-time smartphone users and long time smartphones users. The A55HD that we reviewed recently, A53,  A52 and A42 are already available in the Indian market. Videocon A55qHD, A54, A48 and A31 would be available in the market soon. Gionee Elife E6 officially launched in India for Rs. 22,999

Gionee has officially launched the Elife E6, the company’s latest flagship smartphone in India as they promised. The Elife E6 went on sale in India last week and packs a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) full HD display based on one-glass solution (OGS+) technology and Gorilla glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core Mediatek MT6589T processor processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) with Gionee’s own Amigo interface. Sony Xperia C now available in India for Rs. 20490

Sony Xperia C is finally available in India from online retailer Saholic. The Xperia C was announced back in June and packs a 5-inch (960 x 540 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). Micromax is all set to launch Funbook Mini P410, the company’s first tablet with dual SIM support in the Funbook series. The tablet has appeared on Flipkart and packs a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has dual SIM cars slots with 3G support, voice calling and SMS.  These is a 2-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. Micromax Canvas Tab P650 Benchmarks

Micromax launched the Canvas Tab P650, the company’s first tablet in the Canvas series last month. We brought you the unboxing of the device earlier this week. Here we have the benchmarks of the tablet. It has a 8-inch (1024 x 768 pixels)  4:3 display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT8389 Cortex A7 processor with PowerVR SGX544 MP2 GPU and runs on Android 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean). The Xolo tab that was also released last month had a similar 8-inch display, but it is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 200 (MSM8225Q) processor. We don’t have the Xolo Tab yet to compare it with the Canvas Tab, let’s find out how it performs with other Android tablets in various synthetic benchmark tests.

Dish TV has launched  DishOnline, an online application for Android exclusively for DISH TV subscribers. Once you login with your Dish TV account, you can watch over 35 live TV Channels, Videos on demand and a wide range of Bollywood and Hollywood movies. This app works both on  internet-enabled Android smartphones and tablets. The app works on two devices with a single account. The app has been optimised for 3G and Wi-Fi Networks, says Dish TV. HTC One X+ gets the Android 4.2.2 OTA update in India

We reported earlier today that HTC is rolling out the Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) update for the HTC One X in India. Now HTC has announced that they have also started rolling out the Android 4.2.2 update for the One X+ for the Indian users. The HTC Butterfly got the Android 4.2.2 update starting from Taiwan back in July and the Indian users got the update earlier this month. The HTC One X+ got the update in Taiwan last month. The latest Jelly Bean update for these devices bring Sense 5, BlinkFeed , Video Highlights slide show function for the camera, AE/AF enhancements in the camera, Battery percentage in the status bar, Quick settings and lots more. HTC Butterfly S Unboxing

The HTC Butterfly S is currently one of the costliest phones available in India. It is even costlier than the already costly Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Launched in India on September 4th with a hefty price tag of Rs. 52,428, the Butterfly S has finally landed in our labs for some extensive testing. We were surprised to see the box was actually from Hong Kong, so we took the box in front of a camera and unboxed it right away. Lenovo India has launched four new Android smartphones in the A Series. The A850 is a mid-range smartphone is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, while the other entry-level smartphones, A516, A369i and A269i are powered by dual-core processors. The A850 has a 5.5-inch (960 x 540  pixels) IPS display with wide 178 degree viewing angle, the A516 has a 4.5-inch (854 x 480  pixels) IPS display with wide 178 degree viewing angle and the Lenovo A369i has a 4-inch (800 x 480  pixels) display.
