Xperia Z1 Benchmarks

Sony launched the Xperia Z1, their latest flagship Android phone with a 5-inch 1080p display and a Snapdragon 800 processor in India recently. We brought you the unboxing of the device recently. Here we have the benchmarks of the device. The device is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974) 28nm HPm quad-core Krait 400 CPU clocked at 2.2 GHz and Adreno 330 GPU. As you can see on the image above CPU-Z says that it is clocked at 2.15 GHz. The Xperia Z Ultra was also powered by the same chip. Let’s find out how it compares with other high-end devices in various synthetic benchmark tests.

Sony Xperia C now available in India for Rs. 20490

Sony Xperia C is finally available in India from online retailer Saholic. The Xperia C was announced back in June and packs a 5-inch (960 x 540 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). Sony Xperia Z1 f Honami mini image and detailed specs surface

Rumors about the mini version of the Xperia Z1 or Honami mini surfaced last month, even before the Z1 launch. Now Xperia Blog has got hold of the image and detailed specifications of the Xperia Z1 f (SO-02F) headed to NTT Docomo in Japan. As the earlier rumor suggested the Xperia Z1 f would have a 4.3-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) Triluminos Display with X-Reality for Mobile, powered by a 2.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and run on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). Sony Xperia M Dual SIM now available in India for Rs. 14490

Sony Xperia M that was announced back in June along with the M Dual went on sale in India last month at Rs. 12,990. Now the Xperia M dual is available from online retailer Snapdeal. Apart from the dual SIM support, other features are similar to the single-SIM variant including a 4.0-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8227 processor with Adreno 305 GPU. Sony’s Xperia M dual White Paper says that it comes with Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), but both the online retails have mentioned it as Android 4.1. Sony Xperia Z Ultra vs Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3

Two of the largest phablets in the market are the Sony Xperia Z Ultra and Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3. The Xperia Z Ultra was announced in June and launched in July while the Galaxy Mega 6.3 was announced in April and launched in June. Sony Xperia Z Ultra vs LG Optimus G Pro

The Sony Xperia Z Ultra is Sony’s biggest phablet and the LG Optimus G Pro is LG’s first Full HD smartphone. Xperia Z Ultra was just recently announced and has been available in India for more than a month now. Optimus G Pro was announced way back in January, but has been available in Indian only since July.

Priced at Rupees 44990/-, Sony Xperia Z1 is already available in stores, in India. It was first introduced to the world at IFA in Berlin, earlier this month and Sony has been surprisingly quick to bring this flagship device to India. The Z1 has a 5 inch Full HD display and is powered by a super fast Quadcore Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.2 Ghz. The Android 4.2.2 handset has some of the most tempting add ons with the box.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-QX10 Smart Lens Review

As the race to improve smartphone optics flares up, we’ve also seen a variety of interesting offshoots. These range from cameras with built in Android case in point being the Galaxy Camera, Nikon S800C or phones with a more full featured captured module. The Galaxy S4 Zoom and the Nokia 808, 1020 would fall in this category. The problem however is the size and thickness tradeoff being made here.

Sony is trying to change things up a bit by introducing a brand new category of products into the mix. The QX10 and QX100 are Sony’s attempts at letting you have a point and shoot camera that works with your phone and fits in your palm but isn’t permanently attached to the back of your phone. If that sounds weird, you’re right. But we decided keep our reservations about the product aside and give it a proper spin. Sony DSC QX10 and DSC QX100 Camera Lenses launched in India for Rs. 12990 and Rs. 24990

Sony announced two new camera lenses for the smartphones, Cyber-shot DSC QX10 and DSC QX100 at the IFA 2013 earlier this month. Sony has officially launched these lenses in India today. These connect to Android devices and the iPhone via Wi-Fi and uses the Sony’s PlayMemories Mobile application to capture images. The DSC-QX10 has 18.2 effective megapixel Exmor R CMOS sensor with Sony G Lens and has 10x optical zoom and the DSC-QX100 has 20.2 effective megapixels Exmor R CMOS sensor with Sony G Lens and has 3.6x optical zoom. These have has Built-in Optical SteadyShot that combats camera shake and lets you captures blur-free videos even in low-light conditions. Sony SmartWatch 2 launched in India for Rs. 14990

Sony has launched the SmartWatch 2 (SW2), successor of the first SmartWatch in India. The SmartWatch 2 was announced at the Mobile Asia Expo back in June and comes with a 1.6-inch (220 x 176 pixels) Transflective LCD display and is made of aluminium (body) with wristband made of silicon or stainless steel. It has Bluetooth 3.0 and NFC to connect to Android smartphones running on Android 4.0 (ICS) and later. It weighs 122.5 grams and has IP57 ratings for water resistance. Sony has finally launched the Xperia Z1, the company’s latest flagship smartphone in India as they promised. It was announced at the IFA earlier this month has a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Triluminos Display with with X-Reality engine, powered by 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 20.7-megapixel rear camera with Sony G lens with a 27mm wide angle f/2.0 aperture custom 1/2.3″ Sony Exmor RS image sensor, BIONZ image processing engine, 1080p video recording and a 2-megapixel 1080p front-facing camera.

Sony Xperia Z1 vs Nokia Lumia 1020 Hands-on
