From Sony’s new crop of Xperia, here’s Xperia E dual. Available in Stores and online at Rs. 10,990. The Xperia E dual would replace the Xperia tipo dual that we reviewed last year. This has a larger 3.5 inch display, powered by a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM7227A processor and is also upgradable to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean from the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).

Sony Xperia SP and Xperia L get a pre-order price in UK, coming late April
Sony announced the Xperia SP and the mid-range Xperia L smartphone yesterday. Online retailer Clove UK has announced that they have started taking pre-orders for these devices. The Xperia SP has a 4.6-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD Reality Display with with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, powered by a 1.7 GHz Dual-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8960Pro processor and the Xperia L comes with a 4.3-inch (854 x 480 pixels) Scratch-resistant capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8230 processor. A few weeks back, Sony announced its 2013 flagship device i.e. the Xperia Z. Quite possibly the best designed Sony handset ever, it combines impeccable craftsmanship with performance worthy of a class leading device. Sony has also attempted to build on its heritage of mobile, gaming and imaging by building components of each of those pillars into its device. Sony Xperia E and the Xperia E dual (C1604) went on pre-order online last week, now online retailer Saholic has started selling the Xperia E dual in India. Both the Xperia E and the Xperia E dual were announced back in December 2012. It comes with a 3.5-inch (480 x 320 pixels) TFT capacitive touch screen display, Dual SIM support and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), which is Upgradable to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Sony Xperia L with 4.3-inch display, 1 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, Android 4.1 announced
Sony Mobile has also announced a mid-range device, the Xperia L along with the Xperia SP. It has a 4.3-inch (854 x 480 pixels) Scratch-resistant capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8230 processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It comes with a 8MP rear camera with LED Flash, Exmor RS sensor and also has a dedicated camera key. It is capable of recording 720p HD videos. It also comes with a VGA front-facing camera. It has a LED notification light below the display. Looks like this would replace the Xperia J that was launched last year.

Sony Mobile has announced the Xperia SP, a new smartphone in the Xperia line-up. It comes with a 4.6-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD Reality Display with with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, powered by a 1.7 GHz Dual-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8960Pro processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a colour-changing transparent element with customizable illuminations at the bottom. It also comes with 4G LTE support in select markets. It has a 8MP auto focus camera with LED Flash, Exmor RS sensor and a VGA front-facing camera. Sony Xperia E and E dual go up on pre order for Rs. 9,990 and Rs. 10,990 respectively
Impending announcement of availability or price? Never worry, because Flipkart’s always got you covered with them pushing out the pre order prices before the company itself tells you. They did it with the Lumia 620 and even the Xolo X1000, and now they have done the same for the Sony Xperia E and Xperia E dual(a dual SIM version of the same). They both have gone up on pre order in Flipkart for Rs. 9,990 and Rs, 10,990 respectively. It has been a long time since they were announced and we are finally seeing them land in Indian shores.
Sony Xperia J Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update starts rolling out
Sony Mobile has started rolling out Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update (v 11.2.A.0.21) for the Xperia J, as they promised. Sony Xperia T and Xperia V got the Jelly Bean update last month. Sony confirmed Jelly Bean update for range of 2012 Xperia devices back in October. Sony Xperia P and Xperia go would be the next devices that would get the Android 4.1 update according to their schedule. Sony Xperia Z Benchmarks
Sony launched the Xperia Z, the company’s latest flagship device in India earlier this week. Here we have Benchmarks of the device. The Sony Xperia Z is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor Qualcomm APQ8064 processor and Adreno 320 GPU, similar to the HTC Butterfly, Optimus G and the Google Nexus 4. Performance of the device is better in most of the benchmarks when compared with the other quad-core Android Smartphones.

Sony Xperia ZL launched in India
Sony has launched the Xperia ZL along with the Xperia Z in India. It was announced at the CES 2013 earlier this year.The Xperia ZL is slightly thicker than the Xperia Z at 9.8 mm, weighs 151 grams. Other features are similar to the Xperia Z including a 5-inch Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) Reality display with mobile Bravia Engine 2 at 443 ppi, 1.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8064 processor with Adreno 320 GPU and Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). Sony Mobile has launched the Xperia Z, their latest flagship device in India. It was announced at CES 2013 earlier this year, and appeared on Sony India website last month. Sony announced the Xperia Z launch date in India last week, and the Xperia ZL also launched along with the Xperia Z. Price of both the Xperia Z and the Xperia ZL were already revealed online. The Xperia Z has a OmniBalance design with rounded edges and smooth, reflective surfaces on all sides. It has durable tempered glass on front and back.
