Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note 4 at the IFA last month in Snapdragon and Exynos variant. The Snapdragon 805 variant of the Note 4 was launched in India earlier this year. Here we have the unboxing of the Exynos variant of the Note 4, which has Octa-Core Exynos 5433 SoC with four Cortex-A57 clocked at 1.9GHz and four Cortex-A53 running at 1.3GHz, Mali-T760 GPU. Samsung has announced the launch of Exynos 7 Octa core chip. The second mobile SoC from the company features four Cortex-A57 cores for handling heavy-duty processing and four lower-power Cortex-A53 cores for increased energy efficiency when tackling light loads.

Few months back Samsung SDI introduced curved batteries for wearables, now it has introduced rollable and bendable batteries for wearables at the InterBattery Technology Exhibition in the COEX Convention Center, Seoul. It says that it is the world’s first flexible battery beyond curved and bendable ones. The one showcased is 20 x 3.6 mm in diameter with 10mAh capacity. Compared to cylindrical cells these rollable batteries are 1/80 times smaller in volume, says the company.

Samsung has launched the Gear S running Tizen-based wearable OS. It was unveiled back in August and has a built-in SIM card slot that lets you independently make and receive calls, without connecting to a device and also offers 3G support. You can also get calls forwarded from your smartphone if it’s connected. It has a 2-inch (360 x 480 pixels) curved Super AMOLED display, larger than the Gear 2 and has a more powerful 1GHz dual-core processor. Samsung has launched the Galaxy Note 4, the company’s latest flagship Note series smartphone in India as expected. It was unveiled at IFA last month and packs a 5.7-inch (1440 x 2560 pixels) QHD Super AMOLED display, powered by a 2.7 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor with Adreno 420 GPU and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with new Samsung UI. Instead of Exynos variant for its earlier smartphones including last year’s Note 3, Samsung has launched the Snapdragon variant in India. It has a new back cover and a metal frame. Samsung is expecting a 60% drop in its operating profits for the Q3 of 2014. The South Korean company said in its latest earnings guidance that it expects to record an operating profit of 4.1 trillion won ($3.8 billion) for the quarter ended September 30, a 59.7 percent drop from the year-ago quarter.
