Nintendo records $569M profit, Super Mario Run brings more than $53M in revenue

Nintendo has announced quarterly profits in a year by delivering profit of 64.7 billion yen ($569 million) for the period ending in December. It exceeded analysts’ average projection for 20.5 billion yen. Revenue for the quarter fell 21 percent to 174.3 billion yen. Samsung expects a drop in operating profit despite factoring in Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge sales

HTC reports $1.3 billion revenue, $11 million profit in Q1, 2015

HTC has announced its Q1 2015 earnings where it has reported $1.3 billion revenue, a 25% year on year increase. The Taiwanese manufacturer has also revealed of $11.8 million in quarterly net profit.

Samsung Earning’s Guidance expects 30% drop is profit for Q1 2015

Samsung’s Earnings Guidance expects 60% fall in Q3 profits

Samsung is expecting a 60% drop in its operating profits for the Q3 of 2014.  The South Korean company said in its latest earnings guidance that it expects to record an operating profit of 4.1 trillion won ($3.8 billion) for the quarter ended September 30, a 59.7 percent drop from the year-ago quarter.

Apple just announced it earnings for the quarter ended March 30 2013 or Q2 2013 with revenue of $43.6 billion and net profit of $9.5 billion after selling 37.4 million iPhones and 19.5 million iPads.The company also sold 4 million Macs.International sales contributed 66% of the revenue. Apple’s enormous cash pile increased to $145 billion. Looks like iPhone sales are slowing down in anticipation of the newer model. Apple sold 47.8 million iPhones in previous quarter in comparison. HTC posts record profit losses in Q1,delayed smartphone shipments to blame

The troubled smartphone manufacturer, HTC, has posted yet another quarter of record profit losses to the tune of 98% year on year. HTC reported its lowest profits with just $2.8 million USD net income for Q1 2013. This the lowest that has ever been reported by the Taiwanese manufacturer in its 16 year history.

Apple More Profitable Than Nokia in handset business

Apple has been setting records everywhere it goes and the cellphone industry is not an exception. Apple has enjoyed tremendous success with the launch of the Apple iPhone.

Now according to sources, Apple also seems to be making more profit by selling it’s iPhone than the profit made by the cellphone giant-Nokia.
