Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge launched in India for Rs. 48900 and Rs. 56900

Samsung just launched its flagship Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge smartphones in India, as it had promised last week. Both these were announced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona last week, pack a 5.1-inch Quad HD and 5.5-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED always-on displays, respectively. These are powered by an Octa-Core Exynos 8 Octa 8890 SoC, run Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), come with a 12-megapixel Dual pixel rear camera with LED flash, OIS and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge expected to be priced at Rs. 49000 and Rs. 59000 in India

Samsung is all set to launch the company’s flagship Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge smartphones in India at an event in Delhi tomorrow. We have got hold of the pricing for 32GB variants of both the smartphones. The Galaxy S7 is expected to be priced at Rs. 49,000 and the Galaxy S7 edge is expected to be priced at Rs. 59,000. Last year’s Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge were launched in India starting at Rs. 49,900 and Rs. 58,900, respectively. Samsung just sent press invites for the launch of its flagship Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge smartphones in India on March 8th. Both these smartphones were announced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona last week, pack a 5.1-inch Quad HD and 5.5-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED always-on displays, respectively. In India the variants will likely be powered by an Octa-Core Exynos 8 Octa 8890 SoC, instead of Quad-Core Snapdragon 820 processor. Apple grabs number 6 spot in India’s top 30 cities: IDC

International Data Corporation (IDC) is out with its monthly city level smartphone tracker which reveals that 30 leading cities of India make up approximately for 51% of the entire smartphone market in Q4 CY 2015. Delhi and Mumbai were the top two cities that generated maximum demand for the phone. Apple has outsmarted Xiaomi and grabbed number spot in the Indian smartphone market, said the report.

LG G5 supports Qualcomm QuickCharge 3.0 but Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge don’t

Earlier, it was expected that if you pack the latest processor from Qualcomm, it would in effect be able to have the fast charging properties of the particular processor. However, the OnePlus 2 showed that it is possible to remove the fast charging abilities if needed. Similarly, now it seems that Samsung have bundled only QuickCharge 2.0 with their Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge while LG’s G5 is capable of doing QuickCharge 3.0.

After showing up on Zauba and GFXBench, the Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro has surfaced on AnTuTu, revealing the specifications. This coincides with earlier rumors, but it doesn’t confirm if the upcoming top-end ‘A series’ smartphone will come with 6-inch screen like the A9 or a smaller 5.5-inch screen.
