Realme has gained popularity since its inception because of VFM offerings in the mid-range smartphone segment. In July, it launched the Realme X, it’s most premium offering to date. Update: August 29, 2019 — realme has confirmed that one of the Q series phone will have a 48MP Quad rear cameras and Snapdragon 712 SoC and also posted an image of the phone. This looks like the realme Q will be a rebranded realme 5 Pro for China. It also hinted that the phone will start under 999 yuan (US$ 139 / Rs. 10,020 approx.).

Realme at the realme 5 series launch event last week confirmed that it will launch the realme XT with 64MP quad rear cameras in India in September. Today the realme China CMO Xu Qi Chase has posted an image of its 64MP Quad Camera phone without revealing the phone’s name. This should launch in India as realme XT since it has the same yellow ring around the first camera that we had seen on the prototype the company showcased at the camera event.
This also reveals a glass back with reflective patterns in White color, which looks different from current realme phones. There is no fingerprint scanner on the phone, so we can expect in-display fingerprint scanner and an AMOLED screen, similar to the realme X, but it is not clear if this will feature a pop-up front camera.
The CMO also confirmed that the phone will be powered by a Snapdragon SoC without revealing the model number. The Redmi Note 8 Pro, which also uses the same 64MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor will be powered by MediaTek Helio G90T SoC. In addition to the main 64MP camera, it willl feature Ultra wide angle, Ultra Macro and Telephoto lens. It will also have Expert Mode, Nightscape and Chrome Boost.
Yesterday the company posted a clue for the China launch event which hinted at September 4th launch date and Q Series, so the realme XT could launch in a different name in China. We should know more details in the coming days.

Realme launched the realme 5 smartphone, successor of the realme 3 along with the realme 5 Pro in India yesterday. We already brought you unboxing of the realme 5 Pro, here we have the unboxing and the first impressions of the realme 5.
At the Realme 5 series launch, the company also launched the Realme Buds 2 successor of the Realme Buds that was launched last year. These have 11.2 mm bass boost audio drivers. These retain the magnetic locking from the predecessor, so that it makes carrying and tidying the earphones easy.
The Realme 5 Pro is official. At a starting price of Rs. 13,999, the 5 Pro will replace the not-too-old Realme 3 Pro, with the main advantages in the upgrade being a Quad Camera setup, a refreshed design and the spruced up Snapdragon 712. The mid range market gets a new boost yet again and Realme pre-empts the competition which is already working on offerings for this hotly contested market segment. Realme is all set to launch its new realme 5 and realme 5 Pro smartphones in India on August 20th. Flipkart has posted new teasers for the realme 5 quad camera smartphone that confirms main camera with f/1.8 aperture and 1.25μm pixel size, 119-degree ultra-wide lens, Super Macro and depth sensing portrait lens. Update: August 13 — realme has posted new teaser for the realme 5 Pro that says that it will be India’s first quad camera smartphone in the segment with a 48-megapixel main camera with Sony IMX586 sensor. The realme 5 is expected to come with a 13-megapixel or a 16-megapixel primary rear camera, even though it will retain the same ultra-wide sensor, Super Macro and depth sensing portrait lens.
Realme, at its ‘Camera Innovation Event’ announced that it will launch its 64MP camera phone with quad rear cameras in India before Diwali. It also announced that quad camera is coming to realme series, realme pro series and realme X series, so the phones should be realme 5, realme 5 pro and realme X Pro, based on the teaser.
