Realme 5s with 6.5-inch display, 48MP quad rear cameras, 5000mAh battery launched in India starting at Rs. 9999

Realme has launched the Realme 5s, an enhanced version of the realme 5 in India, as it had promised. It the same 6.5-inch HD+ Mini-drop notch display with 78% screen-to-body ratio, is powered by Snapdragon 665 11nm SoC with 4GB RAM, runs Android 9.0 (Pie) with ColorOS 6.0,  plastic back with crystal design that offers a combination of glossy surface and nano-scale texture and packs a 5000mAh battery, but this comes with a 48-megapixel rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, instead of 12-megapixel camera in the realme 5, while retaining the 8-megapixel 119° ultra-wide angle lens, 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 2-megapixel sensor for 4cm macro shots. realme 2 and realme C1 get new update with System-wide Dark Mode, Realme Laboratory and November Security Patch

Realme 2 Pro latest update brings System Wide Dark Mode, Redesigned Notification Center and Realme Laboratory

realme launched the Realme 2 Pro smartphone in India last year running ColorOS 5.2 on top of Android 8.1 (Oreo) and updated it to Android 9.0 (Pie) based ColorOS 6 back in June. Few days back the company announced that it will sell the launch event entry tickets online starting from November 12th and 12 noon for Rs. 299. realme calls this its biggest event ever, where we can expect accessories such as fitness band, as hinted by the CEO recently. Realme 5s (RMX1925) likely to launch in India soon as it receives BIS certification

Realme launched the realme 5 and realme 5 Pro back in August this year and looks like the company is now all set to bring the upcoming realme 5s smartphone in India and Thailand as the smartphone receives BIS certification in India and is listed on Thailand’s NBTC as well.

ColorOS 7.0 with near stock Android experience coming to realme phones soon, realme Fitness Band expected next month

Realme’s smartphone run ColorOS 6, based on Android 9 (Pie), and some of its latest phones have some tweaks so they call it ColorOS 6 realme edition. In the latest episode of #AskMadhav, the company’s CEO, Madhav Sheth has answered some questions about their future OS. When asked about ColorOS 6.0.1, he said that realme phones will directly get ColorOS 7.0, which will likely be based on Android 10 that will roll out next year. Realme 1 and Realme U1 get Dark Mode, October Android security patch with latest ColorOS 6.0 update [Download Link]

Realme releases kernel source for realme 5, 5 Pro and XT

Realme launched the realme 5 and realme 5 pro smartphones in India back in August, and last month launched the much-awaited realme XT in country. In the August episode of #AskMadhav, the company CEO, Madhav Sheth had confirmed that realme 5 and 5 Pro users will soon be able to unlock the bootloader of their devices. Realme 5 Review: sub-10k king?

realme made its debut in the Indian smartphone market with realme 1 more than a year ago, realme number series has gone through 4 iterations in this duration. realme decided to skip number 4 for its number series and as a result, we have realme 5, as a successor to realme 3. realme 5 packs some great specifications including rear Quad-camera setup, and seems like the best value for money offering in its price segment, we have used device extensively for past few weeks and here is what we think of it. It has a 6.55-inch FHD+ display with 91.7% screen-to-body ratio, HDR10+ support, hardware-level DC Dimming 2.0, 90Hz refresh rate and 135Hz touch sampling rate, is powered by Snapdragon 855 Plus with up to 12GB RAM, liquid cooling along with superconducting carbon fiber for improved heat dissipation, runs Android Pie with ColorOS on top, features quad rear cameras that includes a 64-megapixel primary rear camera with 1/1.72″ Samsung GW1 sensor and f/1.8 aperture, 8MP 115° ultra-wide angle lens that will also be capable of shooting 2.5cm macro shots, 13-megapixel telephoto lens for 20x hybrid zoom and 2MP depth sensor.
