Realme XT Review – Between Midrange and a Flagship

I can’t help but think Realme is preparing its boundaries to justify their future flagship killer with excellent build quality on a beautiful looking XT. Initially I felt bad for quick successive phones being launched in a short span of time but when the Realme X came out, it showed that a full display design language can be brought down to mid-range without many compromises. But for those who are not in favour of moving parts, like me, the XT takes it down a notch as a decent compromise. Now after using the phone for the past 21 days, the Realme XT has impressed me in many ways and in the meantime it also has a few areas of concern. Hence the review in which I will get all your doubts cleared, whether to go with the Realme XT or to wait for future devices from Realme.

Realme X2 with 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, Snapdragon 730G, 64MP quad rear cameras, in-display fingerprint scanner announced

Realme has finally announced the most expected realme X2 smartphone in China, as it had announced. The phone packs a 6.4-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 91.9% screen-to-body ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is powered by Snapdragon 730G with up to 8GB of RAM, runs Android 9.0 (Pie) with ColorOS 6.0 and packs a 64-megapixel primary rear camera with 1/1.72″ Samsung GW1 sensor and f/1.8 aperture. It has a 8MP 118° ultra-wide angle lens with 1.12μm pixel size, f/2.25 aperture, 2MP depth sensor and 2MP camera for 4cm macro with 1.75μm pixel size, f/2.4 aperture are same.

OPPO 30W VOOC 4.0 Flash Charge can charge 4000mAh battery up to 67% in 30 minutes, will debut in realme X2

Earlier this week OPPO introduced its 30W VOOC 4.0 Flash Charge fast charging, an upgrade to 20W VOOC 3.0 that is used in its current devices. OPPO already said that this will debut in K5 smartphone, successor of the K3. Today realme has confirmed that realme X2 will feature the 30W fast charging technology. The phone will be introduced in China on September 24th.

Realme phones will get Dark Mode [Update: Coming to all ColorOS 6 phones in Oct and Nov]

Update: Realme India CMO Francis Wang confirmed that Dark mode will roll out for all ColorOS 6 based smartphone between October to November 2019. 64000 realme XT units sold out in 4 minutes in first sale, next sale on September 30

realme launched the most expected realme XT smartphone in India last week starting at Rs. 15,999. As it had announced at the launch, 64,000 units went on sale on Flipkart and realme.com at 12 noon today. realme has confirmed that it sold out in 4 minutes. Next sale will happen only on September 30th, during the Flipkart’s Big Billion days sale. It will likely stock more units since users will have to wait for two more weeks to get the phone. It offered 6 months free replacement for today’s sale.

Realme RMX1991 with 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, Snapdragon 730G, 64MP Quad rear cameras gets certified [Update: Teased officially]

Update: September 16, 2019 – realme has confirmed that it will launch 64MP quad camera phone in China, after it got certified last week. It already confirmed that the phone will be called realme XT 730G in India, will be powered by Snapdragon 730G and pack 30W VOOC fast charging and launch in December. It will reveal the name of the phone and launch details for China tomorrow.
