Qualcomm just announced Snapdragon 778G 5G Mobile Platform, the company’s new mid-range 5G SoC at the Qualcomm Snapdragon Tech Summit 2021. It is based on 6nm process technology, has Qualcomm Kryo 670 CPU with new architecture delivers up to 40% performance uplift and the Adreno 642L GPU is designed to deliver up to 40% faster graphics rendering compared to the previous generation, said the company. It has Qualcomm Spectra 570L triple ISP and 6th generation Qualcomm AI Engine with the Qualcomm Hexagon 770 processor delivering up to 12 TOPs AI performance, which is a 2x improvement compared to its predecessor. Qualcomm Snapdragon 780G 5nm 5G Mobile Platform announced

Qualcomm has announced Snapdragon 780G 5G Mobile Platform, sucessor to Snapdragon 765G / 768G. It is based on 5nm process technology, same as the Snapdragon 888. The new Qualcomm Kryo 670 CPU with new architecture delivers up to 40% performance uplift, said the company. It has  Qualcomm Spectra 570 triple ISP and 6th generation Qualcomm AI Engine with the Qualcomm Hexagon 770 processor delivering up to 12 TOPs AI performance, which is a 2x improvement compared to its predecessor.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G Mobile Platform with up to 3.2GHz CPU clock speed announced

Qualcomm has just announced its latest Snapdragon 870 5G Mobile Platform as an incremental upgrade to the Snapdragon 865 Plus Mobile Platform that was introduced back in July, which was actually an incremental upgrade to Snapdragon 865. Cristiano Amon to be the next Qualcomm CEO succeeding Steve Mollenkopf

Qualcomm today announced that Cristiano Amon will be the next CEO of Qualcomm unanimously selected by the Board of Directors. Amon, who has worked at Qualcomm since 1995, is currently President of the Company. Amon will succeed Mollenkopf effective June 30, 2021 after he retires as CEO following 26 years with Qualcomm. The latest flagship SoC has a Kryo 680 Prime Arm Cortex-X1-based CPU at up to 2.84GHz, 3 x Kryo 680 Performance A78-based CPUs at up to 2.42GHz and 4x Kryo 680 Efficiency A55-based CPUs at up to 1.8GHz. Google, Qualcomm partner to offer up to 4 years of Android updates

Google launched Project Treble with the aim of reducing the fragmentation of the Android ecosystem across various smartphone manufacturers and devices. Initially the project focused on helping smartphone manufacturers quickly push out updates, and now, Google has announced a new collaboration with Qualcomm to enhance and extend Project Treble right down to the SoC level.
