Lenovo plans to launch sub-Rs.5000 smartphones in India

Lenovo has plans to launch devices priced below Rs 5,000 to India, according to a recent report from The Hindu Business Line. The report also says that Lenovo aims to sell 1 million smartphones in India this year. Lenovo entered into the smartphone market in India last year with launch of 5 Android smartphones priced between Rs. 6499 and Rs. 28499. The company launched range of smartphones, A390, A706, S820, P780, S920 and K900 last week priced between Rs. 8689 and Rs. 32999. The reason behind this new move is their shrinking PC business. Nokia Lumia 925 sales begin starting from Germany, Adds Glance Screen

Nokia has announced that the Lumia 925  would go on sale starting today in Germany. It was announced last month. It has a 4.5 inch (1280×768 pixel)  AMOLED display and an aluminium frame that makes the phone thinner and lighter. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 8.7MP auto focus camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), dual LED flash and 1080p HD video recording at 30fps. Intex has launched the Aqua I-5, the company’s latest flagship smartphone in the Aqua range. It has a 5-inch qHD  (960 × 540 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 12-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 5 layer lenses, BSI Sensor and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It comes with dual SIM support with one normal SIM slot and a micro SIM slot. Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 with 4-inch display, dual-core processor, Android 4.2 announced

Samsung has finally announced the Galaxy Ace 3, the company’s latest Android smartphone in the Galaxy series. It is the successor of the Galaxy Ace 2 that was unveiled last year.  It has a 4-inch (480 x 800 pixels) TFT capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The device would also come with LTE support in select markets that would have a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 8GB of internal memory and 1800 mAh battery. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 prototype allegedly surfaces

Alleged photos of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 prototype has surfaced online. Sammobile and Techtastic says that this might not be the final design of the device that is expected to be unveiled at the IFA 2013 in September. Very low quantities for R&D purposes, says Techtastic. It also adds that this phone would have a model number SM-N900, losing it’ last zero unlike the other Galaxy devices. The device was rumored to come with an unbreakable AMOLED display, but these websites doesn’t confirm any such thing. Jeremiah Wong,  a Reddit user, has posted a series of screenshots that are said to be from a Lumia 920 running on pre release software. The handset that was purchased via eBay is running on a software version that identifies itself as 12084.WPMAIN(wpbldlab).20130509-1407. This particular build was compiled on 5th May and has a number of additions that Windows Phone users have been clamoring for.

Nokia 41MP EOS video demo reveals mechanical shutter

More images emerged online from a twitter user called Vizileaks that revealed the prototype. Now the user has posted a who preview of the device along with a new video that reveals that the phone would have a mechanical shutter that looks similar to the Nokia 808 PureView. Apple has put up their banners for the WWDC, scheduled for next week that reveals the iOS 7, the next iteration of the iOS software. The X symbol far away in the image also confirms the new OS X version. We still don’t know how the iOS 7 would look like as Apple keeps it a secret as usual. Lava to launch a new Iris smartphone with gesture user interaction in June

Lava has announced that the company plans to launch a new smartphone under the Iris brand that that can communicate with the user even in signs. Lava says, “This cool feature will allow a user to interact with the phone and use the camera with just a swipe of his hand in the air.”  The company says that this would be slimmest in its category and run on the latest version of the Android OS, 4.2 obviously. Now the Wireless Charging Cover and Wireless Charging Pad have been priced on the official Samsung eStore.These accessories have also been unveiled yesterday in the U.S. If you already have a Wireless Charging pad, you can get the Charging Cover separately and replace it with the original back cover. It charges wirelessly via electromagnetic field that follow the Qi standard, the global standard for wireless power. The Wireless Charging Kit (Pad + Cover) also comes as a bundle.
