Dell has launched Venue 7 3741, the company’s latest budget Android tablet in India. It has a 6.95-inch (1024×600 pixels) screen, is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom Z3735G processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 2-megapixel rear camera without flash and a VGA front-facing camera.

A device that practically redefined what to expect from a handset priced at par with any mid-range smartphone. The OnePlus introduced to us and to an extent made us believe in their philosophy to ‘never settle’. So when the company announced that it is about to introduce a follow up, the expectations were sky high. Samsung Q2 2015 profits down 8% YoY due to weak smartphone sales

Samsung has reported its earnings for Q2 2015, in which the company has managed to make operating profit of 6.90 trillion ($5.93 billion) for the quarter ended June 30, 2015, down 4% from 7.19 trillion won compared to the same quarter last year. It has reported net profit of 5.75 trillion won ($4.93 billion), down 8% YoY, on revenues of 48.54 trillion won, up 3% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ). Intel and Micron introduces faster 3D XPoint memory technology

Intel and Micron have debuted a new memory chip that can be used as non volatile memory as well as system memory. Dubbed as 3D XPoint, the technology is 1,000 times faster than the current-generation NAND flash chips upon which modern solid-state drives are built.

Google Translate expands instant visual translation support to 20 additional languages

OnePlus 2 supports both FDD 1800 MHz and TDD 2300 MHz 4G LTE bands in India

OnePlus unveiled the OnePlus 2 smartphone yesterday. On the official website, including the OnePlus India website only the FDD-LTE bands were mentioned initially. Now the company has updated the website to add list of TDD-LTE bands. So the OnePlus 2 supports both TDD-LTE Band 40 (2300MHz) and FDD-LTE Band 3 (1800MHz) for India. Meizu has announced m2, successor of the Meizu m1 at an event in China. It packs a 5-inch HD screen with a screen-to-body ratio of 75.6%, is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core 64-bit MediaTek processor, compared to the MT6732 SoC on the predecessor and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with FlyMe OS. LG Q2 2015 profits down 60% YoY, 14.1 million smartphones shipped

LG Electronics has reported revenues of 13.99 trillion won (US$ 12.69 billion) in Q2 2015, which is 0.5% down compared to the same quarter last year with operating profit of 244.1 billion won (US$ 222.52 million), down 60% percent from the same period the previous year. Net profit was 226.4 billion won (US$206.38 million) during the quarter, down from 411.8 billion won a year earlier. Samsung Gear A smartwatch with Samsung Pay support tipped to be unveiled on August 13

Samsung has already sent out invites for an Unpacked event on August 13th where it will announce the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. Now, the Wall Street Journal says that the company may also unveil the Gear A smartwatch along the two phones at the same event.
