Micromax has launched Canvas Tab P470, the company’s latest tablet with 3G connectivity and voice calling capabilities. It has a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) IPS display, is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front-facing camera. It has 21 pre-loaded languages, packs 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal storage with expansion slot and a 3200mAh battery that promises up to 11 hours of talk time. Micromax’s YU introduced the YUREKA smartphone at an event yesterday for Rs. 8,999. The first YU branded smartphone runs on CyanogenMod 11 based on Android 4.4.4 (KitKat) and has 4G LTE, including support for LTE bands in India. Micromax’s YU just launched YUREKA (AO5510), the company’s first YU branded smartphone as expected. It has a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display, is powered by a Octa-Core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (4×1.5GHz + 4×1.0GHz) processor and runs on CyanogenMod OS 11 based on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with OTA updates every month. Last week Micromax announced that it will launched the first YU branded smartphone running CyanogenMod OS in India on December 18th. It will be available for sale exclusively on Amazon.in. One of our readers has spotted the Micromax YU smartphone in Zauba import/export database that shows the pricing for a single unit as Rs. 8,301. Micromax launched the Canvas Nitro A310, a mid-range Canvas series smartphone back in September, and we reviewed it soon after the launch. Now the Micromax Canvas Nitro A311 has been listed on the official website. The only difference between the Canvas Nitro 310 and the 311 is the 16GB of internal storage in the A311, compared to 8GB of storage in the A310. Otherwise all the specifications are similar, including a 5-inch HD display, 1.7 GHz octa-core MediaTek processor, Android 4.4 (KitKat), 13-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. OnePlus One to get own software builds after Cyanogen goes exclusive with Micromax in India

Cyanogen Inc. recently announced an exclusive partnership with Micromax in India to build Cyanogen OS for Yu branded devices launching in December. It also said that Cyanogen OS will not support any other devices shipping in India with future updates including Lollipop. OnePlus has now come forward to announce that it will offer own builds for the OnePlus One smartphones in India and the first community build will be available starting December, with the final build ready by February 2015.
