The Micromax Canvas A1 is slightly costlier than the Dream UNO and is exclusively available from Amazon. Micromax launched the Canvas A1, the company’s first Android One smartphone recently. We already brought you the unboxing and the photo gallery of the smartphone, here we have the benchmarks of the smartphone. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor with ARM Cortex A7 cores and Mali 400 GPU, has a 4.5-inch FWVGA display and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). Micromax has partnered with BSNL, State Owned Telecom Operator, to offer data and other benefits with Micromax devices including feature phone, smartphones tablets and dongles. This offer would be initially available across four Micromax devices – Micromax X070 and X088 feature phones, Micromax P410i tablet, Micromax MMX377G dongle, Micromax A37 and A37B smartphones. This includes, free data of up to 2GB per quarter, 500 minutes of free (on net) voice calls per quarter for 12 months and more. Micromax has launched the Canvas A1, the company’s first Android One smartphone in partnership with Google, as we expected. The smartphone was teased at Google I/O back in June. It has a 4.5-inch FWVGA screen, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Micromax will also launch its Android One smartphone on September 15

Micromax has confirmed its plans to launch its Android One smartphone on September 15, the same day as the Google’s event in India. It will be exclusively available on Amazon.in. Earlier today Karbonn teased its Android One smartphone launch exclusively on Snapdeal and Spice teased its Android One device, which will be exclusively available on Flipkart on September 15th.

It is powered by a 1.66 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6592 processor which has 8 ARM Cortex-A7 CPUs and is based on 28nm HPM. It has a Mali 450-MP4 GPU, comes with a 5-inch HD display and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). We already have quite a few smartphones in India powered by the same Octa-Core chip.
