LG has announced LG Watch Urbane LTE, few days after it introduced its LG Watch Urbane Android Wear smartwatch with metal build. This has the same 1.3-inch (320 x 320 pixels) P-OLED Display and has metal build, but it runs on LG’s own wearable platform with new UX and not Android Wear. It comes with voLTE voice calling support since it has a speaker and a microphone and also comes with NFC support for easy payments. LG has announced that it has started rolling out its LG G Flex 2, the second generation G Flex smartphone globally. It went on sale in Korea at the end of January. The G Flex 2 was announced at the CES 2015 in January and packs a 5.5-inch 1080p curved P-OLED display that can bend ranging from a radius of 400mm to 700mm across the front, back, sides and top-to-bottom edges. LG has just announced their new mid-range smartphone lineup that includes, Magna, Spirit, Leon and Joy ahead of Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015. These smartphones run on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) and come with LTE and 3G versions depending on the market. LG has finally changed their naming convention for their smartphones. These have design elements and features seen on premium models. The LG Magna and LG Spirit has gently curved design and their displays are distinguished by a subtle 3000mm radius curve for a sleeker, more attractive profile, says LG. It looks like LG does not want to clash the launch of its next flagship with the Samsung Galaxy S6. Hence, as per a latest report from the Korea Times, the company will launch the LG G4 in April.

LG Electronics (LG) and Google have partnered to introduce VR for G3 that works with Google Cardboard to offer virtual reality experience to the G3 users. VR for G3 takes advantage of the visual and sound capabilities of G3 to offer a lighter and more convenient solution, unlike the head-mounted VR devices that are designed with their own processors and displays, says LG. The LG G Flex 2 was announced almost a month ago at CES 2015 and shortly after we heard that it was coming to the UK as a Vodafone exclusive for six weeks. Since then, there’s been very little information about a release date but now it has been revealed the handset will launch in the UK on March 19th with pre-orders opening on February 12th. The LG F60 (D392) LTE smartphone was unveiled back in October last year and appeared on the official LG India website later that month for Rs. 15,000 (MRP). Now Manish Khatri from Mahesh Telecom reports that the smartphone is available from retail stores in India for Rs. 14200. The F60 packs a 4.5-inch WVGA display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). LG Electronics has reported revenues of 15.27 trillion won (US$ 14.06 billion) in Q4 2014 that ended December 31st, 2014, an increase of 4.9% compared to the same quarter last year with operating profit of 275.1 billion (US$ 253.31 million), an increase of 28 percent from the same period the previous year. Net profit for the fourth quarter showed a net loss of 205.7 billion won (US$ 189.41 million) primarily due to the write-off resulting from the closure of LG’s plasma TV operations, said the company. LG has launched Ice Cream Smart (LG-F440L), the company’s latest Android flip phone in Korea. It has a 3.5-inch (320 x 480 pixels) display, is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 8-megapixel rear camera without flash and a VGA front-facing camera. It comes with 4G connectivity with VoLTE. It released Wine Smart flip phone last year, and this comes with a similar T9 keypad, a dedicated key to launch Kakao Talk messenger and a powerful 1W speaker.
