LG AKA range of smartphones rolling outside Korea

LG had launched its Aka line of smartphones in Korea last year in November. The smartphones that understands your moods is now rolling outside Korea.

The AKA line of smartphone is coming to Hong Kong first followed by  Taiwan, China, Singapore, Turkey, and “additional markets”. These smartphones chooses its emotion depending on how you use it and its features, such as alarm, apps, the kind of music that you load on it. There are available in four colors along with different personalities. With a global audience in mind, LG has tweaked the AKA lineup by adding an emotional UX element. Some of the additional features include customizable glasses and eyebrows for each pair of eyes.

“AKA is the first smartphone that gives owners a blank canvas to express their own personalities via a customized user experience. AKA is about being creative and never losing sight of the things that make us young and interesting. This is a whole new direction in smartphone UX and we’re excited about where it may take us.”

said Juno Cho, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.

The LG Aka sports a 5-inch IPS display with 720 x 1280 pixels and are powered by quad-core 1.2 GHz processor. Other specs include 1.5 GB of RAM, 16 GB of expandable memory 8 MP rear camera with laser auto focus, 2 MP front-facing camera. The phones come with LTE, NFC, 2610 mAh battery. It weighs 135.5 grams without the front cover, and 157 grams with it on.

LG G Flex 2 launched in India for Rs. 55000

LG has launched its G Flex 2 smartphone with a 5.5-inch 1080p curved P-OLED display in India at the LG Tech Show in Delhi. LG introduces Music Flow P7 portable Bluetooth speaker

LG unveiled its Music Flow series of speakers including H4 Portable Wi-Fi Speaker ahead of CES 2015 back in December last year. Today it has launched new Music Flow P7 portable Bluetooth speaker (NP7550) in Korea. It has multipoint connectivity so that you can connect up to three Bluetooth devices at the same time and switch between easily.

LG G Flex 2 hands on

LG announced the second generation G Flex at the Consumer Electronics Show earlier this year. The South manufacture has showcased the unique device at the on-going Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and we had a chance to take a look at the device.

LG Watch Urbane LTE with VoLTE calling and NFC payments announced

LG has announced LG Watch Urbane LTE, few days after it introduced its LG Watch Urbane Android Wear smartwatch with metal build. This has the same 1.3-inch (320 x 320 pixels) P-OLED Display and has metal build, but it runs on LG’s own wearable platform with new UX and not Android Wear. It comes with voLTE voice calling support since it has a speaker and a microphone and also comes with NFC support for easy payments. LG has announced that it has started rolling out its LG G Flex 2, the second generation G Flex smartphone globally. It went on sale in Korea at the end of January. The G Flex 2 was announced at the CES 2015 in January and packs a 5.5-inch 1080p curved P-OLED display that can bend ranging from a radius of 400mm to 700mm across the front, back, sides and top-to-bottom edges. LG has just announced their new mid-range smartphone lineup that includes, Magna, Spirit, Leon and Joy ahead of Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015. These smartphones run on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) and come with LTE and 3G versions depending on the market. LG has finally changed their naming convention for their smartphones. These have design elements and features seen on premium models. LG VR for G3 offers virtual reality experience

LG Electronics (LG) and Google have partnered to introduce VR for G3 that works with Google Cardboard to offer virtual reality experience to the G3 users. VR for G3 takes advantage of the visual and sound capabilities of G3 to offer a ­­lighter and more convenient solution, unlike the head-mounted VR devices that are designed with their own processors and displays, says LG. VR-compatible apps and games can be downloaded with Google Play store.
