Google introduced the Nexus program with the HTC Google Nexus One. The primary objective is to showcase the power of Android by using decent hardware and selling the devices at decent price points. Nexus devices always have a place in the hearts of Android purists as it has a stock Android experience and always are the first phones to receive new updates. Since the first Nexus smartphone, Google has released a Nexus smartphone every year. This year however, Google released two smartphones, the LG Nexus 5X and the Huawei Nexus 6P to provide two options for users. The 5X is the “lower-end” handset of the two and is a direct successor to the Nexus 5 which was released in 2013. Nexus phones in the past have always had issues and compromises that the users had to make in exchange for a stock Android experience. However, things appear to be different this time around with both the Nexus devices. Let us dive into the review to see whether the Google Nexus 5X manages to break-free from the usual Nexus restraints.

LG V10 sales surpass 4,50,000 units in the US in 45 days

LG today announced that the sales of its V10 smartphone has crossed 4,50,000 units in the US in just 45 days after the launch. It was launched in the US at the end of October and went on sale across major US carriers in early November. In the US it sold at the rate of 10,000 units per day on average, said the company.  Commenting on the sales, it said that it was popular among the younger generation, with 37% of its US consumers aged between 25 and 34.

Google launched the LG-made Nexus 5X smartphone in India back in October. We have already seen the unboxing and benchmarks of the smartphone, here we have the battery life test results. The Nexus 5X has a 2700mAh built-in battery, comes with Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 support and also comes bundled with a fast charger. It has a 5.2-inch 1080p display, is powered by an Hexa-Core Snapdragon 808 processor and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). Check out the test results below.

LG has introduced G Pad II 8.3 LTE, it’s latest tablet in Korea. It packs a 8.3-inch (1920 x 1200) WUXGA display, is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 615 processor and runs on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop). It has a 8-megapixel auto focus rear camera without flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. As the name indicates, it has 4G LTE connectivity, has built-in stylus and also comes pre-loaded with Microsoft Office apps. LG to unveil HOM-BOT Turbo+ robotic vacuum cleaner with augmented reality at CES 2016

LG has announced that it will unveil HOM-BOT Turbo+ robotic vacuum cleaner with augmented reality at CES 2016. The vacuum cleaner from the company looks similar to a Roomba robot vacuum but it is equipped with the augmented reality feature.

Samsung and LG may not go for 4K displays in 2016

Samsung and LG will not join the race to put 4K displays on the their phones, as per new reports from South Korea. The report citing trusted sources said that both the companies might opt to skip 4K or Ultra HD for their smartphones in 2016.

LG Zero with 5-inch HD display, metal body, 4G LTE to roll out globally starting this week

LG introduced Class, its latest smartphone with metal body back in September in Korea. Today the company has announced that the smartphone will launch as Zero in some global markets. It has a 5-inch HD display with a curved glass offering a 3D effect, is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 410 64-bit processor, runs Android 5.1 (Lollipop), has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera (same sensor used in the LG G4), similar to the Class, but the Zero has 1.5GB of RAM instead of 2GB of RAM. Marshmallow update rolling out to LG G4 in some parts of Europe

The LG G4 is one of the first Android smartphones outside the Nexus and Android One family to receive the update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The roll out began in the later half of October with G4s in Poland getting the update first. Now, the update is apparently hitting the G4 across parts of Europe.

LG has announced LG Ray X190, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It has a 5.5-inch HD on-cell display, is powered by a 1.4 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6592M processor and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop). LG V10 Benchmarks

LG introduced V10, the company’s latest flagship smartphone in the new V series last month. We already brought you the unboxing, here we have the benchmarks. It is powered by a Hexa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 64-bit 20nm processor that has two bigger ARM Cortex A57 cores clocked at 1.82GHz per core and four smaller ARM Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.44GHz per core with 600 MHz Adreno 418 GPU. It has 4GB of RAM, 5.7-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) display, along with a 2.1-inch (160 x 1040 pixels) screen on top and runs on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) with LG UX on top. LG Pay mobile payment service announced

LG today announced LG Pay, its own mobile payment service, after Apple PaySamsung Pay and Android Pay. The Korean giant has partnered with Shinhan Card and KB Kookmin Card to prepare for the launch of LG Pay in South Korea soon. LG did not announce when it will roll out the mobile payment service in Korea or other markets. Sony to develop its own mobile processor in 2016?

Sony Mobile will reportedly follow Apple, Samsung and Huawei to develop its own mobile processor for its Xperia smartphones, according to a report from DigiTimes. The report also says that LG will also introduce its own processor. LG NUCLUN 2 processor was already spotted on GeekBench few months back, confirming its existence, after the company’s failed attempt with the Odin chipset.
