LG confirms 6-inch QHD+ OLED FullVision display with narrow bezels, Gorilla Glass 5 for V30

After rumors, LG has officially confirmed that its next flagship V30 smartphone will come with a 6-inch (1440 × 2880 pixels) QHD+ OLED FullVision display with 20% less upper and 50% less lower bezels compared to the V20. It also says that the OLED display will deliver 148% of the sRGB  color space for digital images and 109% of the DCI-P3 2 color space for digital cinema, while offering faster operational response time compared to LCD display. LG is all set to announce its flagship V30 smartphone at the IFA in Berlin, Germany on August 31. Now a outline sketch of the phone from the user manual has surfaced revealing the design of the phone with dual rear cameras and a fingerprint sensor on the back, thanks to @OnLeaks. A new Android Authority report says that the phone will ditch the secondary display, as earlier rumors said. LG profits up 13.6%, mobile revenue down 21% YoY in Q2 2017

LG Electronics has reported revenues of 14.55 trillion won (US$ 12.89 billion) in the second quarter that ended June 30, 2017, which is up 3.9% compared to the same quarter last year. This is due to strong sales in home appliance unit, said LG. It has reported operating income of 664.1 billion won (US$ 588.2 million), up 13.6% for the same quarter in 2016. LG Q8 with 5.2-inch Quad HD display, dual rear cameras, water-resistant body announced

LG has announced Q8, a smaller version of the V20 smartphone in Italy. It has a 5.2-inch Quad HD screen along with a 2.1 (160 x 1040 pixels) second screen. It has a 16MP rear camera with 78-degree lens along with a secondary 8MP secondary camera with 135-degree wide-angle lens. It has a slightly smaller 3000mAh battery compared to 3200mAh battery on the V20 and this is non-removable since the phone has a unibody metal design.

LG has officially announced the Q6 smartphone in the new Q series, as expected, but it has also announced the Q6α and Q6+ with different RAM and storage configurations. All these have a 5.5-inch FHD+ FullVision display with 18:9 aspect ratio and minimal bezels, but this is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 435 instead of Snapdragon 821 on the G6 and also doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor.
