LG Electronics has reported preliminary quarterly earnings for third quarter of 2017. It expects increase 82.2% YoY increase in operating profit in Q3 with most revenue coming from home appliances and TV business. With an operating profit of 516.1 billion won ($454 million) in the period of July-September, the revenue is expected to rise up at least by 15.2% higher than the same period last year. LG today at the India Mobile Congress 2017 in New Delhi launched the LG K7i smartphone with Mosquito Away Technology that will keep mosquitoes away by creating Ultrasonic noise inaudible to human with the Mosquito Away cover that has a separate hardware built into it. LG launched the Q6 smartphone with 5.5-inch FHD+ FullVision display with 18:9 aspect ratio, facial recognition and military grade durability in India last month. Today it has launched the LG Q6+ with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage in the country. All other specifications of the phone are same as the Q6. It runs on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) and has a 7000 series aluminum frame.

LG just announced its flagship V30 smartphone at IFA 2017 in Berlin, as it had promised. It has a 6-inch (1440 × 2880 pixels) QHD+ OLED FullVision display with 18:9 aspect ratio and narrow bezels, is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform and has a 16-megapixel primary rear camera with f/1.6 aperture, Crystal Clear lens, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) and Hybrid Auto Focus that combines both Laser Detection Auto Focus and Phase Detection Auto Focus along with a 13-megapixel secondary camera with 120-degree wide-angle lens.
After the critically acclaimed flagship smartphone, LG’s plan to cater the Indian mid-range market came in the form of LG Q6 with Full vision display at a considerable price point.

Last year’s LG V20 was the first phone to feature 32 bit Quad DAC for audio and the G6 has a similar DAC. Today LG has announced that the V30 will feature 32-bit Advanced Hi-Fi Quad DAC powered by ESS Technology’s SABRE ES9218P. The Hi-Fi Quad DAC now gets two new features: digital filters and sound presets. The original Hi-Fi Quad DAC emphasized delivering Hi-Fi sound as close as possible to the original source by minimizing distortion and white noise, Advanced Hi-Fi Quad DAC offers more customizable options.
LG unveiled Q8, a smaller version of the V20 smartphone last month in Italy. Today the company launched the phone in Korea and revealed the price of the phone. It has a 5.2-inch Quad HD screen along with a 2.1 (160 x 1040 pixels) second screen. It has a 16MP rear camera with 78-degree lens along with a secondary 8MP secondary camera with 135-degree wide-angle lens.
