LG WING roll out begins early October starting from Korea, price revealed

LG unveiled its WING smartphone with a unique swivel screen last week. Today the company already confirmed that it will go on sale starting from South Korea starting from October followed by key markets in North America and Europe. Today it has confirmed that it will be available from early October in South Korea priced at 1,098,900 won (US$ 943 / Rs. 69,385 approx.). As a part of launch offer in October, it will offer 70% discount on the replacement cost when the main screen or the second screen is damaged within two years. LG Q31 with 5.7-inch HD+ display, dual rear cameras, Android 10 announced

LG today announced Q31, the company’s latest budget smartphone in Korea. It has similar design and specifications as the K31 that was introduced in the US recently, including a 5.7-inch HD+ U-Notch FullVision display, MediaTek Helio P22 processor, has 3GB of RAM, compared to 2GB RAM, but it misses the the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. It has a 13MP (primary with f/1.8 aperture) + 5MP (120° wide-angle with f/2.2 aperture), 5MP front-camera and packs a 3,000mAh battery. LG teases smartphone with extendable, pull-out display

LG today unveiled its WING smartphone with a unique swivel display as a part of its Explorer Project program. At the end of the event the company showed off another unique smartphone design that shows the phone’s screen that extends once it is being pulled from the bottom. LG WING with 6.8-inch FHD+ OLED display, 3.9-inch OLED Swivel Screen, Snapdragon 765G 5G announced

LG today announced WING, the company’s unique dual-screen smartphone under its new Explorer Project, as it had promised. It packs a 6.8-inch P-OLED FullVision main screen and a 3.9 inch FHD+ hidden Second Screen that lets you use the phone in Swivel Mode in which the entire front of the phone rotates clockwise 90 degrees allowing users to interact with the Second Screen while content plays uninterrupted on the Main Screen. MediaTek Dimensity 1000C announced, powers T-Mobile VELVET 5G

MediaTek has announced Dimensity 1000C, 5G smartphone SoC which made its debut first in the United States on the LG VELVET on T-Mobile with 600 MHz and 2.5 GHz 5G spectrum. It has four ARM-Cortex-A77 CPU cores clocked at 2.0GHz and four power-efficient ARM Cortex-A55 cores operating up to 2GHz and Five ARM Mali-G57 GPU cores. LG announces 8K OLED TVs powered by α (Alpha) 9 Gen 3 AI processor, HDMI 2.1

During NVIDIA’s announcement of their GeForce RTX 30 series GPUs, they showcased LG’s new 2020 lineup of 8K OLED TVs that will support HDMI Display Stream Compression (DSC). The TVs are powered by LG’s α (Alpha) 9 Gen 3 AI processor, and it will support many gaming focused features like VRR and ALLM.

LG dual-screen ‘Wing’ phone to be announced on September 14

Update: LG has confirmed the LG WING name for its swivel phone that will be introduced on September 14th under its Explorer Project. The company said that the boldest, newest smartphone will deliver a new and different form factor and mobile experience that would be impossible to create with conventional smartphones. In Korea, it will recruit 300 people from 7th to the 17th who will get to experience the phone early.
