LG said to launch rollable smartphone in early 2021; codenamed Project B

LG’s Explorer Project first saw a smartphone release this year with the LG Wing, an unconventional device with two screens, of which one could be swiveled sideways to reveal the second one. The program is reportedly in the process of developing a second smartphone for the coming year, codenamed Project B, with a unique pull-out design.

LG’s Q3 2020 profits up 87.7% YoY, Mobile losses narrow

LG Electronics has reported revenues of 16.92 trillion won (US$ 14.24 billion) for the third quarter that ended September 30, 2020, which is up 7.77% compared to the same quarter last year. It posted profits of 959 billion won (US$ 807.14 million), up 22.72% YoY, while net profit was up 87.79% YoY to 649.2 billion won. LG K92 5G with 6.7-inch FHD+ FullVision display, Snapdragon 690, 64MP quad rear cameras announced

LG has announced K92 5G, the company’s latest smartphone in the K series for the US market to compete with the OnePlus Nord N10 5G. It packs a 6.7-inch Full HD+ LCD Punch Hole Display with a 16MP camera inside the notch, is powered by Snapdragon 690 5G SoC, comes with 64MP rear camera, 5MP ultra-wide camera and 2MP depth and 2MP macro camera. LG VELVET with 6.8-inch FHD+ OLED display, Snapdragon 845 launched in India for Rs. 36990

LG has launched VELVET, the company’s latest mid-range 4G smartphone in India. Compared to the 5G version that is powered by Snapdragon 765G, the 4G version gets the Snapdragon 845 SoC. Other specifications are similar, including a 6.8-inch 20.5: 9 aspect ratio Cinema FullVision Full HD+ OLED display with Waterdrop Camera that houses a 16-megapixel camera, 6GB of RAM and a Waterdrop Camera camera design in which 48MP main + 8MP ultra-wide + 5MP depth triple rear cameras and a flash are arranged in a vertical direction as if water droplets are falling. LG just launched WING, the company’s unique dual-screen smartphone in India as it had promised. It packs a 6.8-inch P-OLED FullVision main screen and a 3.9 inch FHD+ hidden Second Screen that lets you use the phone in Swivel Mode in which the entire front of the phone rotates clockwise 90 degrees allowing users to interact with the Second Screen while content plays uninterrupted on the Main Screen. LG Q52 with 6.6-inch display, 48MP quad rear cameras, military-level durability announced

This has similar specifications as the K52 that was introduced  last month that includes a 6.6-inch 20:9 HD+ FullVision punch-hole display, quad-camera array consisting of a 48MP main camera, wide angle lens, depth sensor and a macro lens. LG WING launching in India on October 28

LG unveiled its WING smartphone with a unique swivel screen last month, and started rolling it out from South Korea earlier this month. Today the company has sent out invites for the launch of the swivel screen phone in India on October 28th. The invite has #ExploretheNew tag and design of the phone is revealed as a shadow. LG SIGNATURE OLED R world’s first rollable TV starts rolling out

Back in CES 2019, LG revealed the world’s first roll-able OLED TV line — the SIGNATURE OLED R. The TV was supposed to go on sale last year however due to some issues that did not happen. LG is now launching the 65-inch SIGNATURE OLED R on sale in South Korea for a whopping price tag of KRW 100 million, which is approximately $87,000 or about 63.8 lakh rupees.

LG may not launch Snapdragon 875-powered phone in first half of 2021

LG introduced its V60 ThinQ 5G smartphone powered by Snapdragon 865 earlier this year. Now a new report from Korea says that the company might not use the upcoming flagship Snapdragon 875 for its flagship smartphone in the first half of 2021. LG VELVET with 6.8-inch FHD+ OLED display reportedly goes on pre-order in India for Rs. 36990

LG unveiled the Velvet smartphone back in May and it was introduced in the US in July. Now Supreme Mobiles, an offline retailer has posted that it has started taking pre-orders for the smartphone ahead of the India launch. LG K62 with 6.6-inch FHD+ display, 48MP quad rear cameras, 28MP front camera, K52 and K42 with 6.6-inch HD+ display announced

LG has announced new K series smartphones that includes K62, K52 and K42. The K62 features a 6.6 20:9 FHD+ FullVision punch-hole display and the K51S and K41S feature a 6.6-inch 20:9 HD+ FullVision punch-hole display. These feature quad-camera array consisting of a high-resolution main camera, wide angle lens, depth sensor and a macro lens. Both K62 and K52 feature 48MP main cameras, with the K42 featuring a 13MP primary lens. The 28MP selfie camera of the K62 allows you to add artistic blurring effects. LG 8K OLED ZX series, GX Gallery series, CX and BX series OLED and Nano-Cell TVs launched in India

LG Electronics has announced the launch of their 8K OLED ZX series, their GX Gallery series TVs and 8 new models in the OLED TV, Nano-cell  lineup in India. The 8K capable TVs feature LG’s newest α (Alpha) 9 Gen 3 AI 8K Processor and the 8K Ultra HD certification from the Consumer Technology Association, while the GX Gallery series features their minimalist wall mountable designs in a an ultra-thin form factor.
