Lenovo has launched the A7000 smartphone in India, as expected. It was unveiled at the MWC 2015 earlier this month, packs a 5.5-inch HD screen, 1.5GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6752M 64-bit processor, Android 5.0 (Lollipop), 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Lenovo has announced its first global event where it will demonstrate its vision of computing and emerging technology for the next five years. Dubbed as Tech World the event will be held on May 28th in Beijing.

Lenovo entered into budget 4G smartphone segment earlier this year with the launch of A6000 smartphone in India. Xiaomi recently launched the Redmi 2 smartphone, successor of the popular Redmi 1S smartphone that was launched last year. Both these smartphones share almost similar specifications and have 4G support. We decided to compare these 4G smartphones.
Lenovo just sent out invites for the a launch event on April 7th in India. The invite just shows Dolby Atoms Theater with text Save the Date, 7 April 2015. It is expected to launch the A7000 smartphone at the event, since it is the only smartphone to feature Dolby Atmos audio. Lenovo launched the A6000 smartphone in India back in January and the first flash sale happened at the end of January on Flipkart. Now the company has announced that the smartphone will be available without registrations in open sale from March 23rd till March 25th, 2015 on Flipkart. It says that the offer is valid till stocks last, but it is not clear if the stocks will be replenished every day of the sale till March 25th.
