Lava has announced that the company plans to launch a new smartphone under the Iris brand that that can communicate with the user even in signs. Lava says, “This cool feature will allow a user to interact with the phone and use the camera with just a swipe of his hand in the air.” The company says that this would be slimmest in its category and run on the latest version of the Android OS, 4.2 obviously. It has a 4-inch (480 x 800 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It has a 3-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. Lava International has launched the E-Tab XTRON+, successor of the E-Tab XTRON that was launched back in February. It has a has a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) capactive multi-touch IPS display and is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor similar to its predecessor, but this runs on Android 4.2.2. (Jelly Bean), has a HDMI port, 2-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera.

It has a 4.5-inch (854 ×480 pixels) FWVGA capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 8-megapixel auto focus camera with LED flash and a 0.3MP (VGA) front-facing camera. It has a slim form factor with curved corners and has matte finish on the back. The company launched the E-Tab XTRON, Lava’s first Android tablet running Android 4.1 back in February, which topped most of the benchmarks when compared to other 7-inch tablets. It was launched earlier this year for Rs. 9,999, now the phone is available for Rs. 7,999. The Iris 501 runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), and company launched the Iris 502 recently for Rs. 8,499 that runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) out of the box, which is now available for Rs. 7,499. Lava International has launched 3 new entry-level Android smartphones, Iris 349, Iris 351 and the Iris 355 in the Iris range. All these phones come with a 3.5-inch (320 x 480 pixels) capacitive multi-touch display, dual SIM support and run on Android 2.3.6 (Gingerbread).
