Huawei just announced MediaPad M5 series 10.8″ and 8.4″ at the MWC 2018 in Barcelona. It comes in 10.8-inch and 8.4-inch versions with WQXGA (2560 x 1600 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display, is powered by an Octa-Core Kirin 960 SoC and runs on Android 8.0 (Oreo) with EMUI 8.0 on top. It has a 13-megapixel auto focus rear camera with PDAF and an 8MP front camera. It has a metal unibody design and also has a fingerprint sensor on the home button, below the display. Huawei has kickstarted the MWC 2018 with the MateBook X Pro Windows 10 laptop. It sports a 13.9-inches 3K LTPS display, and it is the first Huawei’s notebook with FullView design and a 91% screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by the 8th gen Intel Core processors, metal body design, and the 10-point touchscreen display. Huawei is expected to introduce its flagship smartphones in the P20 series at separate event in March in Paris. We had seen several renders of the smartphones in recent times. Now two smartphones with model numbers EML-AL00 and EML-TL00 have been listed on TENAA in China, which could be P20.

Earlier this month several Huawei and Honor smartphones surfaced on TENAA, now Honor smartphones with LND-TL30 and LND-TL40 model numbers and Huawei smartphones with model numbers LDN-TL10 and LDN-TL20 have been certified by TENAA in China. These are said to be Honor 7C and Huawei Enjoy 8. These share similar specifications and design, feature dual rear cameras and a fingerprint sensor on the back.
Huawei’s Honor brand has announced that it has started rolling out a new software update to enable Face unlock feature in Honor 9 Lite smartphone in India, as it had promised. Face Unlock for the Honor View 10 was released last month. Huawei has sent out media invitations for an event in Paris on March 27th where the company is expected to introduce the P20 and P20 Plus along with a lite variant, just as expected. The invite reads ” SEE MOOORE with A.I.” There are three ‘0’ in the background of the teaser image giving us a hint that the P20 series will actually have triple rear cameras. Honor recently confirmed the list of phones that will be getting the Android 8.0 Oreo update which also included the Honor 8 Pro. Huawei’s Honor brand recently said that the Honor7X is now made in India and the company in partnership with Flex has started manufacturing the phone at Flex’s plant in Sriperumbudur, near Chennai. Today the company has announced that the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version of the smartphone will be available across Honor partner stores pan India starting from February 9th at the same online price of Rs. 15,999.
