Google to reportedly buy music streaming app Songza for $15 million

Google is following Apple’s footsteps and eyeing to buy music streaming service Songza. According to a latest report from New York Post, Google is in talks to acquire Songza which feature over thousands of curated playlists for $15 million. The six-year-old service creates music mixes based on a variety of themes and factors, such as your current mood or the local weather forecast.

Google Glass adds ‘Notification glance’ in the latest update

Google has updated Glass with an experimental feature that will make viewing notification simple. Android KitKat activation hits 13.6%, Jelly Bean down to 58.4%

It’s that time of the month when Google releases its monthly Android distribution numbers.  KitKat’s share is consistently increasing for the past two months and now, Google’s latest version of Android is present on 13.6% . This is up from 8.5% in May and 5.3% in April.

Google releases Android 4.4.3 KitKat factory images for Nexus devices

Google has released Android 4.4.3 KitKat factory images and binaries for both the WiFi and Cellular versions of the Nexus 7, Nexus 10 and also for the Nexus 4 and the Nexus 5. Google to reportedly debut Android TV with ‘Pano’ UI at I/O this month

We have heard rumors about Google working on an entertainment platform like Android TV for quite some time now. However, according to a new report from GigaOm, Google will introduce the Android TV at the I/O conference this month. The report claims that the new platform will be a revamped version of Google TV platform and will focus mainly on bringing online media content and Android gaming to televisions rather than concentrating on the ‘apps for TV’.
