A lot of leaks and rumors regarding Google’s mid range Pixel smartphone has been all over the internet. Recently, Google accidentally leaked the name of the smartphone i.e., Pixel 3a on its official store and the company recently put up a teaser on its website that says ‘Something big is coming to the Pixel universe’. Today, Flipkart has posted the same teaser hinting that Pixel 3a/3a XL might be launching in India on 8th May.

Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL launch teased for May 7

After several rumors, Google has started teasing the launch date of its Pixel 3a series, which is expected on May 7th, the first day of Google I/O. “On May 7, meet a new hero,” says the Google Store. It also says “Help is on the way.
On 7 May, something big is coming to the Pixel universe.” The date changes to May 8th for some countries, including India.

Google lets you use Android phone as a security key for two-step verification

At the Google Cloud Next 2019 in San Francisco Google has announced it will add an option to use Android phone’s built-in security key for multi-factor authentication to protect against phishing. This will be available on all phones running Android 7.0+ (Nougat) so that you don’t have to carry around additional security keys. On Pixel 3 FIDO credentials are stored inside the Pixel’s Titan M chip so that you can just press the volume down button to activate your security key.

Update — April 8, 2019: Google Play Developer Console device catalog has revealed that the Pixel 3a (Sargo) will come with a 2220×1080 pixels FHD+ 440 PPI display and Pixel 3a XL (Bonito) will come with a 2160 x 1080 pixels FHD+ 400 PPI display, which reveals display size of 5.6-inches and 6-inches, respectively as rumored earlier. Google Pixel 3 gets Dual SIM, Dual Standby support with Android Q Beta 2

Google started supporting eSIM feature on the Pixel 2 devices and the same was carried onto Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphones. It was only Dual SIM, Single Standby (DSSS), but today, with the roll out of Android Q Beta 2, Google brings support for Dual SIM Dual Standby(DSDS) for Pixel 3 devices.
