RIM announces Sunil Dutt as Managing Director for India

Research In Motion (RIM) has appointed Sunil Dutt as Managing Director for India. He worked for Hewlett Packard India Sales Pte Ltd previously as President, Personal Systems Group and was responsible for expanding their business in enterprise, mid-market and consumer space. Frenny Bawa, previous Managing Director of RIM quit last month.

RIM launched three new handsets in India recently. We got to spend some time with the three and have put down some thoughts. The first in the line is the new Curve 9350 , a CDMA based device.
Hands On : BlackBerry Curve 9380
One of the more interesting devices out of RIM’s three handset launch recently is the Blackberry Curve 9380. The device is being marketed as the first consumer oriented , mass market full touch Blackberry device. The 9380 is a part of the consumer centric Curve series of devices and looks almost identical to the 9350 from the back.

Foursquare for BlackBerry update brings Events, Check-in detail screen and more

Foursquare for BlackBerry has been updated to version 3.4.1 that brings lots of new features. The new Event tab lets you check-in to specific events and you can also view details like movie times and summaries. RIM has launched the BlackBerry Bold 9790 in India. It comes with 2.4-inch (480 x 360 pixels) capacitive touch screen display with 246 dpi and a Full QWERTY keyboard. It is powered by 1 GHz processor and runs on the latest BlackBerry OS7. It was announced last week along with the Curve 9350 that was also launched today. RIM has launched the BlackBerry Curve 9380 and the Curve 9350 in India. The Curve 9380 is the first all-touch smartphone in the BlackBerry Curve family. It comes with 3.2-inch (480 x 360 pixels) touch screen display with 188 ppi, optical trackpad and navigation keys. The Curve 9350 is the CDMA version of the Curve 9360 that was launched in September . It has an 2.44-inch (480 × 360 pixels) touch screen display with 246 ppi and a Full QWERTY keyboard . The Curve 9380 is powered by 806 MHz processor and the Curve 9350 is powered by 800 MHz processor . Both these phones comes with preinstalled social networking apps, including BBM (BlackBerry Messenger), Facebook, Twitter and Social Feeds apps. RIM’s first BBX phone BlackBerry London expected in Q3 2012

RIM’s first BBX smartphone might launch in Q3 2012 dubbed as BlackBerry London. The Verge got hold of a dummy device and the BGR that has confirmed from their source that it is expected in Q3 2012. They also say that the BlackBerry Colt that looked like smaller PlayBook that was leaked earlier was scrapped in favor of the new BBX device BlackBerry London.
