Google Nexus 7 (2013) is an affordable tablet, but it definitely isn’t the most affordable one right now and that is shifting the buyers to more budget friendly options. Google Nexus 7 (2013) is nearly 6 months old and we are hearing rumors that Google is already working on the next generation Nexus tablets. The rumored Google Nexus 8 will have a 8inch display and is likely to be powered by Intel’s Bay Trail processor.

Asus Transformer Book Duet TD300 Hands on

The original Asus Transformer tablet was a very interesting product as it was one of the first multiple usage device that could be used as a tablet as well as a laptop. However, the Transformer series has failed to make a commercial impact so far and Asus is not losing heart yet. At CES 2014, they announced another Transformer device – the Transformer Book Duet tablet/laptop that runs both Android and Windows 8.1. Asus PadFone Mini Hands on

Among the numerous Android smartphones and tablets that Asus showcased at CES 2014 was its trademark PadFone device. However, unlike the previous iterations of PadFone series, this year, Asus has decided to tone down a little in terms of specifications. The yesteryear PadFone devices had top of the draw specifications, but this year’s Asus PadFone Mini is a more subtle yet affordable PadFone offering. Asus ZenFone 4 vs ZenFone 5 vs ZenFone 6 Size Comparison

Amidst a flurry of Android and Windows tablets and laptops, Asus unveiled a new series of Android smartphones at CES 2014. The new series of smartphones, Asus ZenFone series, comprises of three smartphones – ZenFone 4, ZenFone 5 and ZenFone 6. Each of the smartphones is named based on their screen size and all these offerings fall in the entry and mid-range category. Asus has announced the VivoTab Note 8, the company’s latest Windows 8.1 tablet.  Even though this would compete with the Acer Iconia W4, Toshiba Encore, Lenovo Miix 2 with similar specs, this has a Integrated Wacom Digitizer Stylus for better accuracy, speed, responsiveness and palm rejection. ASUS unveils the ZenFone range with 4, 5 and 6 inch screens sporting the ZenUI

After revealing the first Dual OS convertible, ASUS unleashed a whole new range of smartphones under the ZenFone range. Coming in three different screen sizes, the ZenFone line of devices are all about value for money and addressing choices in form factor as well as price. The three devices launched today are ZenFone 4, ZenFone 5 and ZenFone 6 with the number denoting their respective screen sizes. All the phones are powered by the Intel Atom processors with different configurations for each model, lets see what each one packs inside.

ASUS’ dual OS Transformer Book Duet TD 300 with Android and Windows 8 is official

ASUS has officially unveiled its latest Dual OS convertible two-in-one, the Transformer Book Duet TD300. Simultaneously running Android 4.1 and Windows 8.1 on a single device, ASUS claims to offer two different experiences on a single machine, with laptop and tablet configurations thanks to the detachable keyboard dock. ASUS promises a 4 second time frame for switching between the two different operating systems at just a press of the button. It’s slightly disappointing that it runs on Android 4.1 Jellybean but the implementation will be interesting to see if it actually works in real life. The convertible is powered by the latest 4th generation Intel core i7 processor and comes with a 13.3 inch 1080p panel in the default configuration. The base configuration cuts the resolution down to 1366×768 and packs a Core i3 processor but comes with an affordable price tag of $599, which might be enticing for people looking to try this weird combo of a device.

Asus has just announced the new Padfone mini 4.3 at an event in Taipei as they promised last week. The Padfone mini 4.3 lets you dock the phone in a smaller Padfone station to convert it into a tablet. It packs a 4.3-inch qHD (960×540 pixels) Super IPS display, powered by 1.4 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 (MSM8226) processor with Adreno 305 GPU, just like the Moto G and runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean). The docking station has a 7-inch (1,280 x 800 pixels) Super IPS display and packs a 2200 mAh battery. The Padfone mini 4.3 is 8.68mm thick and weighs 105 grams. The docking station weighs 310 grams. Asus has launched Transformer Book Trio that can run dual operating systems – Windows 8 Pro and Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 11.6-inch (1920×1080 pixels) 16:9 detachable display and lets you switch between a Windows 8 notebook, Android tablet and Windows 8 desktop PC. The PC Station dock is powered by a 4th generation Intel Core i7 processor, has a keyboard and packs 500GB hard drive. The PC Station also offers extended battery. In the tablet mode, it is powered by an Intel Atom Z2560 processor that runs on Android Jelly Bean and can be also connected to an external display. Yesterday, Asus announced that the Padfone mini would be unveiled on December 11th at an event Taipei, Taiwan. Thanks to evleaks, we now know how the Padfone mini would look like. We already know the phone would have a 4.3-inch screen. According to earlier rumors the Padfone mini is expected to come with a 4.3-inch (960 x 540 pixels) display, powered by a Snapdragon 400 processor and run on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean).
