Around a couple of months back, Google announced their second version of Nexus 7 as the Google Nexus 7 2013 with an upgraded processor and a much better display. Earlier in July, just after the announcement of new Nexus 7, Amazon had slashed the price of Nexus 7 to Rs. 11,999 for the 16GB version.Now, Amazon and Flipkart, two popular giants of India’s eCommerce market slashed the price of original Nexus 7 to just Rs. 9,999 for the 16GB version.

Asus announces the new Padfone Infinity with a 5-inch 1080p display and Snapdragon 800 processor
Asus has finally announced the new Padfone Infinity at an event in Taipei as they promised last week. The new Padfone Infinity is the fourth device in the Padfone series that lets you dock the phone in the Padfone station to convert it into a tablet. The new Padfone Infinity packs a 5-inch Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) IPS display similar to the last-gen device, but this is powered by a 2.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with Adreno 320 GPU and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) out of the box. Google Nexus 7 2013 LTE Version Unboxing
I was in Berlin, Germany for IFA 2013 last week and managed to pick an LTE version of the Nexus 7 2013 which is currently on sale only in a few countries including Germany and UK. We had already unboxed the WiFi only version previous on FoneArena and like always we are always excited about any device with a SIM card slot and here we have the unboxing of the Nexus 7 2013 LTE version.

Asus to launch the new Padfone Infinity on September 17th
Asus has uploaded a new video teaser for the new Padfone on their YouTube channel. Asus has also revealed that the new Padfone is landing on September 17th. Engadget reports that they have received an invite for the new Padfone Infinity event in Taipei next Tuesday. The new teaser doesn’t reveal anything, but the leaked specifications of the Asus Padfone Infinity A86 reveals that the device would come with a Snapdragon 800 processor. Asus Fonepad Note 6 Hands-on
Asus announced their Galaxy Note competitor in the form of Asus Fonepad Note 6 back in Computex held during June. The Asus Fonepad Note 6 is a 6inch phablet that comes with a 6inch Full HD display and is powered by an Intel Atom dual-core processor. To be a true Galaxy Note competitor, it comes with a Stylus. Asus MeMO Pad 8 vs Apple iPad mini Hands On
Asus announced the MeMO Pad 8 (ME180A) at the IFA 2013 in Berlin last week. Apple launched the iPad mini, the company’s first 7.9 inch display last year. Since these two tablets are almost similar in the size, we managed do a hands on comparison at the IFA. The Asus MeMO Pad 8 has a 8-inch HD LED Backlit IPS multi-touch display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixel at 188 ppi pixel density. The iPad mini has a 7.9-inch LED Backlit IPS multi-touch display with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixel at 162 ppi pixel density. The Memo Pad 8 uses a quad-core quad-core MediaTek MT8125 Cortex A7 chip clocked at 1.6 GHz with PowerVR SGX5 series GPU and runs on Android 4.2.2, while the iPad mini comes with a dual-core Cortex A7 chip with PowerVR SGX543MP2 GPU and runs on iOS 6.

Google Nexus 7 (2013) vs Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 311
Today we have the new Google Nexus 7 (2013) against Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 3 311. The new Nexus 7 was launched in July and is yet to be available in India while the Galaxy Tab 3 was launched in July and has been available since then in India.
The Nexus 7 comes with an upgraded processor, much better display and a rear camera which was absent in its predecessor while the Galaxy Tab 3 has Samsung’s Exynos SoC.

Asus Fonepad Note 6 announced with new Intel Z2580 processor
Asus is on an announcement spree at IFA and it has announced a refreshed Fonepad Note 6. The Fonepad Note FHD 6, which we originally saw at Computex earlier this year received a minor bump in the specifications. The new Fonepad Note 6 features a newer Intel Atom Z2580 dual-core processor and retains all the other features from the original Fonepad Note 6.

Asus Fonepad 7 video ad surfaces ahead of IFA announcement
Asus had introduced the original Fonepad at MWC 2013 earlier this year and the Fonepad saw a slight bump in the specifications sometime during summer. Asus just posted and removed a video ad for the yet another refresh of the Fonepad.
