At the Computex 2014 event in Taipei, Asus announced a lot of products and among those, is the upgraded Asus MeMO Pad 8. The new Asus MeMO Pad 8 is an upgrade over the yesterday product of the same name. The successor – New Asus MeMO Pad 8 is a very worthy upgrade over the original with a Full HD display, an Intel Atom Z3580 SoC with 2GB RAM, 16GB Internal storage and a microSD card slot. The new MeMO Pad 8 runs on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.

Asus Fonepad 8 and new Fonepad 7 with quad-core Intel Atom processors announced

Asus has announced Fonepad 8 (FE380CG) and a new version of the Fonepad 7 (FE375CG) at the Computex 2014. The Fonepad 8 has a 8-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) IPS display with 5.06mm narrow bezel bezel and a screen-to-body ratio of 72.2%. The Fonepad 7 has a 7-inch (1280 x 800) display. Both these tablets are powered by a 1.8 GHz quad-core 64-bit Intel Atom Z3560 processor with PowerVR Series 6 GPU and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with Zen UI . Asus Fonepad 7 FE170CG with 7-inch display, Dual SIM goes on sale in Thailand

Asus unveiled the Fonepad 7 (FE170CG), a new variant of the Fonepad 7 few weeks back. Now the complete specifications of the tablet has surfaced on the official website that reveals that it would also come in dual SIM variant. This was first spotted by notebookitalia.it. The tablet went on sale in Thailand few days back. Unlike the Asus Fonepad 7 Dual SIM (ME175CG), the new Fonepad 7 has a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) display, has a 2-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. ASUS is planning to expand its Padfone line of devices with a phablet that might have keyboard dock. A photo leaked at FCC shows a phablet that has a keyboard dock which is compatible with the upcoming ASUS PadFone X for AT&T.

The has sent us a press invite for the launch of Asus Fonepad 7 Dual SIM (ME175CG) with dual SIM support in India on April 15th. Microsoft and Google don’t want dual OS(Windows+Android) devices, Asus Transformer Duet may be cancelled
Earlier this year, at the CES 2014, Asus announced the Transformer Duet which ran Android and Windows side by side. This was probably designed for those who wanted the best of both the worlds and it was quite a hit at the CES 2014. Even an Indian manufacturer – Micromax, announced a similar dual boot device – Micromax Laptab which was supposed to be available in February.

Asus was the first company that introduced the concept of Android transformer tablet which a detachable dock. Asus was also the first company that came up with Asus PadFone concept. Despite being innovations of their own, both the series failed commercially. But Asus isn;t giving up. Asus unveiled the Padfone Mini 4.3, the company’s first Padfone device with a smaller smartphone and docking station. We brought you the unboxing recently, here we have the benchmarks of the device. The phone has a quad-core Snapdragon 400 (MSM8226) ARM Cortex-A7 processor clocked at 1.40 GHz with Adreno 305 GPU, bit faster than the Motorola Moto G and the Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 that were clocked around 1.2 GHz. Asus Padfone Mini 4.3 Unboxing

Asus unveiled the Padfone Mini 4.3, the first mini version of the Padfone few months back. Unlike the Padfone with a 5-inch display that docks into the Padfone station with a 10.1-inch screen, this has a 4.3-inch screen and a smaller Padfone station with a 7-inch display. Remember, there are two Padfone Mini variants. The Padfone Mini 4.3 that we have unboxed has a 4.3-inch qHD screen and is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, while the new Padfone Mini that we saw at the CES 2014 last month has a 4-inch WVGA screen and is powered by a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Z2560 chip.
