Asus announced the Zenfone 5 along with a range of other Zenfone smartphones in the series earlier this year at the CES 2014. We already brought you the unboxing and the benchmarks of the device, here we have the photo gallery of the smartphone. It has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) capacitive multi touch display, powered by a dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 clocked at 1.6 GHz with PowerVR SGX 544MP2 GPU and runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) with Zen UI on top. Asus Padfone 2 gets Android 4.4 KitKat with ZenUI

Asus has released the Android 4.4 (KitKat) update for the Padfone 2, the company’s second Padfone device that was launched back in 2012, as it promised earlier this year. The KitKat update also brings new Asus ZenUI 1.1 with a new user interface. The ZenUi brings clean layout, flat icons, new color themes, animations, new ringtone and notification tones. Asus Zenfone 5 Benchmarks

Asus unveiled the Zenfone 5 in the Zefone series along with a range of other Zenfone smartphones earlier this year at the CES 2014. We already brought you the unboxing of Asus Zenfone 5. Here we have the benchmarks of the smartphone. It is powered by a dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 clocked at 1.6 GHz with PowerVR SGX 544MP2 GPU and has 1GB RAM. Asus to reportedly launch a Android Wear smartwatch later this year

Asus is working on a smartwatch that runs on Google’s Android Wear, according to a report from TechCrunch. It says that the company is planning to release an Android Wear-powered smartwatch in September.

Asus Zenfone series reportedly launching in India on July 9th

Asus is planning to launch the Zenfone series – Zenfone 4, Zenfone 5 and Zenfone 6 in India on July 9th, according to a report from The Times of India. These are the first smartphones from Asus that were announced at the CES 2014 earlier this year have 4, 5 and 6-inch displays. The Zenfone 4 has a 4-inch WVGA screen and the Zenfone 5 and Zenfone 6 have 5-inch and 6-inch HD displays, respectively. ASUS Zenfone 5 Unboxing

ASUS, the Taiwanese manufacturer, has been in the Android race for quite a while now, at times, experimenting with form factors and convergence. Niche markets aside, like any other company, ASUS also caters to the mass market crowd which just wants to pick up a smartphone. Along those lines, the company revealed three devices, with various screen sizes, ranging from 4 to 6 inches in screen sizes, but with identical user experience. These devices under the “Zenfone” range were announced way back in January during CES, but are only starting to appear in the retail market. We bought one off from a Taipei market, and here is our unboxing video to show the device off, to you –

Along with the Fonepad 7 refresh, Aus also unveiled the Fonepad 8 (FE380CG) at the Computex 2014 in Taipei. This has almost similar specifications as the new Fonepad 7 (FE375CG) , but this has a 8-inch (1280 x 800) HD IPS display, compared to the 7-inch HD display on the Fonepad 7. Asus MeMO Pad 8 vs Asus MeMO Pad 7 Photo Gallery

At the Computex 2014 event held in Taipei, Asus announced successors to the MeMO Pad 7 and MeMO Pad 8. The Asus MeMO Pad 7 wasn’t much of an update, but the MeMO Pad 8 was updated with a better Full HD display and internal specifications overhaul. We managed to get our hands on both the updated Asus MeMO Pad 7 and Asus MeMO Pad 8 and we shot a photo gallery comparing the two MeMO Pads.

Asus MeMO Pad 7 Photo Gallery

Asus made a lot of announcements at Computex 2014 event that was held in Taipei and the refreshed Asus MeMO Pad 7 was among the them. Asus announced the upgraded MeMO Pad 7 after an year and in terms of specifications, there isn’t much change except for the fact that the MediaTek processor in the yesteryear model has been replaced by a powerful Intel Atom Z3745 SoC in the latest generation.

New Asus MeMO Pad 8 Photo Gallery

At the Computex 2014 event in Taipei, Asus announced a lot of products and among those, is the upgraded Asus MeMO Pad 8. The new Asus MeMO Pad 8 is an upgrade over the yesterday product of the same name. The successor – New Asus MeMO Pad 8 is a very worthy upgrade over the original with a Full HD display, an Intel Atom Z3580 SoC with 2GB RAM, 16GB Internal storage and a microSD card slot. The new MeMO Pad 8 runs on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.

Asus Transformer Book V Hands On and Photo Gallery

At the Computex 2014 event in Taipei, Asus announced a five in one convertible that tries to bring together a Windows tablet, a Windows Laptop, an Android laptop, an Android tablet and an Android smartphone into a single device. We have seen Windows convertibles, Android convertibles and Windows/Android dual boot Transformers until now, but by bringing the concept of a Padfone into the Windows/Android dual boot system, Asus is a taking a completely new direction.

Asus has announced Fonepad 8 (FE380CG) and a new version of the Fonepad 7 (FE375CG) at the Computex 2014. The Fonepad 8 has a 8-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) IPS display with 5.06mm narrow bezel bezel and a screen-to-body ratio of 72.2%. The Fonepad 7 has a 7-inch (1280 x 800) display. Both these tablets are powered by a 1.8 GHz quad-core 64-bit Intel Atom Z3560 processor with PowerVR Series 6 GPU and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with Zen UI .
