ASUS unveils ZenFone 2 – features 64 bit Intel processor and 4GB of RAM

ASUS has taken wraps of its latest ZenFone 2 smartphone at its dedicated CES 2015 event in Las Vegas. The company’s chairman also announced that they are now shipping over 1.5 million ZenFone smartphones a month.

ASUS ZenFone 2 sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display and comes with a 72% screen-to-body ration, which means that the display occupies more space in the body rather the bezels. An entry level Asus ZenFone smartphone has been leaked with some specs. Android Police points to this document over on Bluetooth SIG (Special Interest Group) that was filed by Asustek Computer Inc.

ASUS Pegasus X002 with 5-inch HD display, 64-bit quad-core SoC, 2GB RAM announced

ASUS has announced Pegasus X002, the company’s latest budget smartphone in China that competes with the Xiaomi Redmi 1S smartphone. It has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) capacitive multi-touch IPS display, is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6732 64-bit processor with ARM Cortex-A53 64-bit CPUs and Mali-T760 GPU and runs on Android 4.4 (Kitkat) with Zen UI on top. ASUS CES 2015 Teaser hints at Zenfone 2

ASUS just released its CES 2015 teaser titled The origin of craftsmanship of the next Zen. The title clearly sates that it is going to unveil the next Zenfone device at the event. The teaser also says Experience 2morrow, which could hint at Zenfone 2 name. It launched three Zenfone devices at the CES 2014 earlier this year in three price segments. Asus ZenWatch launches in the UK on Dec 23 for £199

When they announced the ZenWatch back at IFA, Asus claimed it would arrive before Christmas and they’ve just about kept to their word. The stylish Android Wear watch will land in the UK exclusively at Currys and PC World on December 23rd for the princely sum of £199 (which is somewhat discerning given the $199 launch price in the USA). It has a 5-inch qHD screen with Soda-lime glass screen protection, is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2520 SoC and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). Asus PadFone mini launched in India for Rs. 15999

Asus has launched the PadFone mini (PF400CG) in India. It has a 4-inch (800 x 480 pixels) smartphone that docks into a 7-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) Padfone station. It is powered by 1.6 GHz dual-core Intel Atom (Z2560) processor and runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean). It has a 8-megapixel rear camera without flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Asus unveiled the Zenfone series of smartphone earlier this year at the CES and launched them in India few months back. Now the Taiwanese manufacturer has launched the Zenfone 5 Lite (A502CG), a cheaper variant of the Zenfone 5 in Philippines. This has a 5-inch qHD screen with Soda-lime glass screen protection and is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2520 SoC, compared to the 5-inch HD screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and a 1.6 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 processor, but has the same design as the Zenfone 5. ASUS ZenWatch lands on the US Google Play Store for $199

ASUS introduced the ZenWatch, the company’s first smartwatch based on Android Wear platform at the IFA back in September. Now the smartwatch is available in the U.S. through Google Play and Best Buy, priced at $199.99 (Rs. 12,350 approx), cheaper than both the Moto 360 and the LG G Watch R. Asus has launched Transformer Pad TF103 and Transformer Book T200 tablets in India. The Asus Transformer Pad TF103 is an Android tablet running Android 4.4 (KitKat) and the Transformer Book T200 is a portable Windows 8.1 tablet with a 11.6-inch screen that transforms into a laptop with a full-size keyboard dock. Asus also launched the Transformer Flip Book, a 15.6” laptop with 360-degree rotating touchscreen.
