Asus Zenfone 4,5 and 6

Asus just announced that it will roll out Android 5.0 (Lollipop) update for its Zenfone series starting from this May. The Zenfone 5 LTE (A500KL) will be the first smartphone to get the Lollipop update starting from early May. The Zenfone 4 (A400CG/A450CG), Zenfone 5 (A500CG) and the Zenfone 6 (A600CG) smartphones will get the update mid-May. The Asus Zenfone S (PF500KL) will get the update early June.

The Asus Zenfone series received Android 4.4 (Kitkat) update back in October last year. The Asus Zenfone 2 that was launched in India earlier this month runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) out of the box. Android 5.0 Lollipop brings Material Design with bold, colorful, and responsive UI design, better notifications, battery saver feature, New Quick Settings, Improved network handoffs, flexible sharing, faster, smoother and more powerful experience with ART and more.

The Zen UI running on Lollipop has a similar interface since there is not major change in Zen UI, but Android 5.0 adds several new features including Multi user support that lets you create separate users/profiles, screen pinning, Kids mode, ZenMotion that lets you open apps instantly by drawing letters on the screen in sleep mode and more.

All the features might not be available for all the Zenfone variants. Roll out might vary depending on the country and region. Check out the new features on Zenfone 2 running on Android 5.0 from the demo video.
