ASUS just announced the Zenfone 4 series at an event in Taiwan, as it had promised. This includes Zenfone 4 and Zenfone 4 Pro with dual rear cameras and the Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro and the Zenfone 4 Selfie with dual front-facing cameras. All these have a unibody design, 120-degree wide-angle lens for the front camera and a fingerprint sensor on the front. ASUS already unveiled unveiled its ZenFone 4 Max (ZC554KL) smartphone in Russia last month and is all set to unveil its Zenfone 4 series, that includes the ZenFone 4, ZenFone 4 Pro, ZenFone 4 Selfie and ZenFone 4V at an event in China on August 17th. Today complete specifications of the Zenfone 4, Zenfone 4 Selfie and Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro have surfaced on official ASUS France eShop. This confirms dual rear cameras for the Zenfone 4 and the Zenfone 4 Selfie series have dual front cameras. A cheaper version of Zenfone 4 Max has also surfaced. Asus just launched the Zenfone AR smartphone in India as it had promised. It is compatible with both Tango AR platform and Google’s Daydream VR platform and was announced as the world’s first smartphone with 8GB of RAM. It has a 23-megapixel main camera with a motion tracking camera and a depth sensing camera that supports Tango’s AR capabilities. It also has 0.03-second Asus TriTech System that uses PDAF, laser auto focus and subject-tracking autofocus for quick focus. After Xiaomi, ASUS has announced that it has entered into a partnership with Reliance Jio to offer up to 10GB data per month for up to 10 recharges or up to 100GB for 10 months. The ‘Additional Data Offer’ is available for Jio Prime members who have purchased any of these eligible ASUS devices from 16th June, 2017 either from online or offline channel. Customer will get an additional data voucher with every Recharge of Rs. 309 or above, limited to 10 recharges till 31st March, 2018.

Asus has finally announced the ZenFone 4 Max, successor of last year’s Zenfone 3 Max in Russia. It packs a 5.5-inch HD 2.5D curved glass display, comes in Snapdragon 425 or Snapdragon 430 versions and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with Zen UI on top. It has 13-megapixel rear camera with a 80-degree lens, PDAF for quick focus in 0.03 seconds and a secondary camera with a 120-degree wide-angle lens for capturing landscape and group shots. ASUS has announced price cuts for their Zenfone 3 and Zenfone 3 Max series of Zenfone smartphones in India. Even though the company did not mention the reason for the price cut, this could be due to GST. The Zenfone 3 5.5-inch has received a huge Rs. 3000 price cut and few other smartphones have received Rs. 2000 price cut. Some of these Zenfone 3 smartphones got VoLTE support earlier this year. Asus has quietly introduced new ZenPad 3S 8.0 and two new Asus ZenPad 10 tablets at the Computex 2017 in Taiwan. The ZenPad 3S 8.0 (Z582KL) is the smaller version of the ZenPad 3S 10 (Z500M) that was introduced last year. The new model has a 7.9-inch 2K (2048 x 1536 resolution) screen dual speakers and 4GB of RAM. It also has a 6.9mm slim unibody metal design. The new ZenPad 10 models come in 10.1-inch WXGA and Full HD models, run Android 7.0 (Nougat) and have 4G LTE support. The laptop is powered by the latest Intel Core i7 processor and comes with NVIDIA GeForce GTX graphics (GTX 1080) Max-Q design. A week after Asus X015D with dual rear cameras got certified TENAA, ASUS X00KD has been certified in China with almost similar specifications and design. It reveals 13-megapixel and 8-megapixel dual rear cameras, 5-inch HD display, Android 7.0 (Nougat), 4020mAh and more.
