Alcatel One Touch by TCL Communication and Cyanogen, Inc. have partnered to introduce Alcatel One Touch Hero 2+, a variant of Hero 2 that runs on Cyanogen OS. It has the same 6-inch 1080p display and is powered by a 2 GHz Octa-Core processor, but this runs on Cyanogen OS 11 based on Android 4.4.4 (KitKat). It comes with an integrated stylus pen and has optimized handwriting recognition.

Alcatel OneTouch has announced Orange Klif, the company’s latest Firefox OS smartphone in partnership with the French operator Orange. It has a 3.5-inch HVGA screen, is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor and comes with a 2-megapixel rear camera. This even has 3G connectivity and Dual SIM support. It runs on Firefox OS 2.0. Alcatel has announced the OneTouch IDOL 3 smartphone at MWC 2015. Available in two sizes – 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch, the unique feature of the phone is that it is “reversible” and users can speak when the top side is down.

TCL Communications, parent company of Alcatel Onetouch, has confirmed that it has acquired the Palm brand. The confirmation comes a week after rumors about the acquisition.
