Facebook appears to be keen on entering into financial systems with products like Calibra wallet, Libra Network and now its latest venture is Facebook Pay. Instagram Reels 15-second video-music feature to take on TikTok

Instagram is going after TikTok with its video-music remix service called Instagram Reels. It will let users create 15 second video clips attached with music share them as Stories, with the potential to go viral on a new Top Reels section of Explore. The service is currently being tested in Brazil under the name Cenas for both iOS and Android.

Twitter announced in a blog post that they are introducing a new feature called Topics. This feature is designed to let users follow all the best tweets from a particular news topic that they choose. Facebook Q3 2019 earnings report released, Mark Zuckerberg confirms political ads will continue

Facebook has released their quarterly earnings report for Q3 2019. The company has posted a 29% year-on-year growth in total revenue, split between 28% from advertising and 42% from Payments and other fees. Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook’s CEO, also explained in a post how they will not ban political advertising on the platform while the company believes in defending free expression.

Instagram Dark mode arrives for Android and iOS

Update: After testing it recently, Instagram has started rolling out Dark mode feature in the stable release for both Android and iOS. The company says it will automatically work on iOS 13 and Android 10 once you turn dark mode on your phone. However, if your Android phone supports dark mode (Samsung’s One UI, Xiaomi’s MIUI and others), this will trigger Instagram’s dark mode.
