Millennium MT701 and M7 Intel-powered WiFi and 3G Android tablets launched for Rs. 5999 and Rs. 8999

Millennium Telesystems Private Limited has launched 7-inch Millennium tablets powered by the 1.2GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2520 processors in India. These come with a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) display, have a 2-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front-facing camera. Today, Xiaomi and Flipkart have announced that the first 5000 Flipkart First subscribers who register to buy, will get the Redmi Note added to their cart automatically and they can purchase the Redmi Note on December first 6PM, one day prior to India launch. Xolo Q1010i, Opus HD, Q700s Plus, Q500s IPS and A500s Lite get a price cut

Xolo has reduced the price of five smartphones – Q1010i, Opus HD, Q700s Plus, Q500s IPS and A500s Lite. The Xolo Q1010i was launched back in April for Rs. 13499. Now the smartphone is available for Rs. 9,999. The main highlight of the smartphone is its 8-megapixel camera with Sony Exmor R sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 1.4 micron pixel size and a 5-element lens. Xolo has announced Q710s, the company’s latest smartphone in the Q CORE series. It has the same 1.3 GHz Quad-core Mediatek MT6582M processor, 1GB of RAM, Dual SIM support and a 8-megapixel rear camera, similar to the Xolo Q700S that was launched earlier this year, but the Q710s comes with a 4.5-inch qHD display instead of FWVGA display on the Q700S and runs on Android 4.4 (Kitkat). Three new Karbonn smartphones – Karbonn Titanium S6, Titanium S8, and Titanium S4 Plus are now available from online retailers Amazon, eBay and Flipkart. These Karbonn Titanium S6 has a 5-inch qHD screen, the Titanium S8 has a 5-inch FWVGA screen, and the Titanium S4 Plus has a 4-inch FWVGA screen. All these smartphones are powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processors, have 1GB RAM, run on Android 4.4 (KitKat), has 3G and dual SIM support. Gionee has launched Elife S5.1 in India. It is the company’s thinnest smartphone that is just 5.1mm thin and has a magnesium alloy frame. It has a 4.8-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and screen-to-body ratio of 74% since it has a narrow frame of just 1.8mm. The back cover is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a 1.7 GHz Octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor and runs on Android 4.4 with Amigo 2.0 UI on top. Galaxy Note Edge UK launch delayed until December 12

The Galaxy Note Edge will NOT go on sale in the UK on November 28 as originally planned with Samsung confirming the handset’s launch has been delayed until December 12. Alongside the delay in the launch, Samsung have pushed back the pre-order period and shortened it to a week meaning you won’t be able to order it from Samsung or Carphone Warehouse before December 5th. Asus has launched the PadFone mini (PF400CG) in India. It has a 4-inch (800 x 480 pixels) smartphone that docks into a 7-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) Padfone station. It is powered by 1.6 GHz dual-core Intel Atom (Z2560) processor and runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean). It has a 8-megapixel rear camera without flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Google Nexus 9 Benchmarks

Google announced the Nexus 9 tablet made by HTC last month, and it is expected to launch in India soon, starting at Rs. 28,990. We brought you the photo galley and the unboxing of the tablet recently. Here we have the benchmarks of the tablet. The Nexus 9 has is powered by a 64-bit NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor with two Denver CPUs clocked at 2.5GHz per core, rather than the traditional 4+1 Cortex A15 setup. The Kepler GPU has single SMX/GPC design, which amounts to 192 CUDA cores. Even though it has the same Kepler graphics architecture found in its latest generation of PC GPUs such as NVIDIA GeForce Titan, this consumes less than 2W of power. The Nexus 9 has 2GB of RAM and  8.9″ (2048×1536 pixels) IPS display. Check out the synthetic benchmark scores below.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G with Snapdragon 400 SoC announced in India for Rs. 9999, available late December

At the Xiaomi Redmi Note launch event, the company has announced that the Redmi Note 4G would be launching in India soon. This has support for TD-LTE 2300MHz (Band 40) and FDD-LTE 1800MHz (Band 3) for India and is powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 SoC, instead of Octa-Core MediaTek chip in the 3G variant. This has single SIM support, unlike the dual SIM 3G variant.  It comes pre-loaded with Fleksy and SwiftKey keyboards. Xiaomi Redmi Note to go on sale on Flipkart on December 2nd for Rs. 8999

Mi India announced the Redmi Note smartphone in India at the Mi 3 launch event back in July. Today at an event in Delhi, the company has announced that the smartphone would go on sale at Rs. 8999 on Flipkart starting December 2nd. It would be a flash sale similar to the Mi 3 and the Redmi 1S, and the registrations for the sale would begin tomorrow, November 25th at 6PM. This is Rs. 1,000 lesser than the price Xiaomi announced last month, just like it did for the Mi3 and the Redmi 1S smartphones. There is a separate chartered plane to bring Redmi Note units later this week. This is the fourth time the company is bringing units from China to India using a chartered plane.
