Four new Videocon Android smartphones, Infinium Z50Q Star, Infinium Z50Q Lite, Infinium Z40 Lite and Infinium Zest Lite have been listed on the official website. These have 5-inch FWVGA, 4-inch WVGA and 3.5-inch HVGA displays, respectively. The Infinium Z50Q Star, Infinium Z50Q Lite, Infinium Z40 Lite run on Android 4.4 (KitKat), while the entry-level Infinium Zest Lite runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). These smartphones have dual SIM support, but only the Infinium Z50Q Star, Z50Q Lite and Z40 Lite have 3G connectivity. Samsung Galaxy Grand Max launched in Korea

After revealing the Galaxy Grand Max (SM-G720N0) in its brochure last month, Samsung today officially launched the smartphone in Korea. The Grand Max has a 5.25-inch HD screen, is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. YU YUREKA Benchmarks

Micromax’s YU launched the YU YUREKA (AO5510), the first smartphone under YU brand last month for Rs. 8,999. We brought you the hands on, unboxing and the photo gallery recently. Here we have the benchmarks of the smartphone. It is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 64-bit processor that has four ARM Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.54 GHz per core and other four Cortex A53 cores are clocked at 1.0 GHz per core. It has Adreno 405 GPU clocked at 550 MHz. It has 2GB DDR3 RAM, 5.5-inch HD screen and runs on Cyanogen OS 11 based on Android 4.4.4 (KitKat). Check out the synthetic benchmark scores below.

Asus Zenfone 4 and Zenfone 5 get a price cut in India

Asus Zenfone 4 and Zenfone 5 smartphone have received a price cut in India. The Zenfone 4 (A400CG) was launched in India for Rs. 5,999 last year and the Zenfone 5 was launched for Rs. 9,999 for 8GB and Rs. 12,999 for 16GB. There is no price cut for the Zenfone 4 (A450CG), which still retails Rs. 6,999.  The Zenfone series received Android 4.4 (KitKat) update last year. Check out the new pricing below. We bought you the unboxing and the photo gallery of the smartphone recently, here we have the benchmarks of the smartphone. It is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974) 28nm HPm quad-core Krait 400 CPU clocked at 2.15 GHz and has Adreno 330 GPU clocked at 450 MHz. Nokia N1 launches 28 Jan in China, pre-orders tomorrow

Nokia’s return to the hardware market looks set to become official later this month as the N1 tablet will begin shipping in China on January 28th. Pre-orders for the Nokia N1, which is manufactured by Foxconn and sold under the Nokia brand, will begin tomorrow and the N1 tablet will cost 1599 RMB (equivalent to around $258 or £170). Lenovo today announced two new Android tablets, Tab 2 A7-10 and Tab 2 A7-30 in the A-series. These Tab 2 series of tablets, successors of last year’s A7-30 have 7-inch (1024 x 600) IPS displays, are powered by a 1.3GHz Quad-Core MediaTek MT8382M SoCs and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat. Both these have 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal storage and pack a 3450mAh battery. The Tab 2 A7-30 also comes in 16GB variant.
