Panasonic has unveiled HX-A500 (A500), the company’s first wearable camera with 4K (3820×2160 pixels) video recording at 25fps. It has WiFi and NFC support to connect the camera to a smartphone or tablet so that you can remotely control the video camera and also share images and videos easily. LG introduces Smart Bulb, lets you control it with Android and iOS devices

It has built-in Bluetooth 4.0 that lets you connect the bulb to Android (4.3 or later) and iOS (version 6.0 or higher) devices. Once connected, it lets you turn the lights on or off with a single touch, control brightness, slowly turn the lights on when you wake up in the morning and more. Samsung Gear 2 and Gear Fit get priced officially

Samsung unveiled the Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and the Gear Fit at the MWC 2014 last month. Samsung has revealed the pricing for the Gear 2 and the Gear Fit at an event in Taiwan. Samsung Galaxy Gear got priced at Rs. 22,990 when it launched in India last year. Samsung assured that the successor would be priced reasonably. The Gear 2 has been priced at NT$ 8,990 (Rs. 17,980 approx) and the Gear Fit is priced at NT$ 5,990 (Rs. 11,980 approx). Pricing for the Gear 2 Neo is not available yet.

Samsung is planning to launch a variant of its Gear 2 smartwatch capable of making voice calls without connecting to a smartphone, according to a report from Korean Herald. Samsung plans to release the new version of the Gear 2 in Korea in partnership with the local operator SK Telecom. This would have a built-in SIM card or USIM (Universal Subscriber Identity Module) to use it as a standalone mobile device. LG’s G Watch will be Google’s first “Nexus” Smartwatch, powered by Android Wear

Close on the heels of the announcements from Google for Android Wear and Motorola’s Moto 360 Smartwatch, LG has announced that it will actually be making the first smartwatch powered by the new wearables platform. The LG G watch, as it is called, will be the first smartwatch to release to the market, powered by Google’s Android Wear platform. LG and Google have apparently worked on this device together, right from design, just like a Nexus product. The details of the LG G watch have not been revealed yet, but the availability is set to the second quarter of 2014.

Samsung makes Tizen SDK for Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo available starting today

Samsung announced the successor of their original Galaxy Gear smartwatch at the MWC 2014 earlier this year – Gear 2. Samsung ditched Andriod for Tizen as a platform for their smartwatch and introduced two variants – Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo. Samsung has made available the Tizen SDK for Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo for developers and they can access it from https://developer.tizen.org/.

Nomad ChargeKey is a keychain-sized micro USB cable for smartphones

NOMAD, a company based in San Francisco started crowd funding for ChargeKey, a super-small micro USB cable for Android and lightning cable for iPhone last year on Indiegogo, and exceeded more than three times its goal. It began shipping in December, and the also started selling it on their website recently. The company first launched ChargeCard, a credit card sized iPhone Lightning Cable or micro USB cable on Kickstarter, that exceeded their goal by 300%.
