SanDisk Corporation just announced 200GB SanDisk Ultra microSDXC UHS-I card, Premium Edition, the world’s highest capacity microSD card. It introduced 128GB SanDisk Ultra microSDXC card last year. Even though most smartphone manufacturers say that they support expandable storage only up to 128GB, some companies like LG said that their LG G3 smartphone supports up to 2TB, which is the maximum capacity a microSD can offer currently, other high-end smartphone with likely support this 200GB card. Samsung today announced that they have started producing world’s first 128GB ultra-fast embedded flash memory based on Universal Flash Storage (UFS) 2.0 standard for next-generation flagship smartphones. The company already has 128GB eMMC Pro that uses eMMC 4.5 standard, this one uses UFS 2.0 standard, which promises better sequential read and write performance, closer to SSD and 50 percent decrease in energy consumption. Kingston introduced its 64GB Class 10 UHS-I Speed Class 3 (U3) microSD for smartphones and tablets last month. It is not available in India yet, but we manged to get one for review before it launches here. Since it is a UHS-1 U3 (Ultra High-Speed Bus, Speed Class 3) card, it is rated for a minimum 30MB/s read/write speed as recommended by the SD Association, but Kingston promises 90MB/s read and 80MB/s write speed. Kingston introduced its 128GB Class 10 UHS-I Speed Class 1 (U1) microSD for smartphones and tablets last year. It is not available in India yet, but we manged to get one for review before it launches here. Since this is a class 10 Card, it promises a minimum data transfer rate of 10MB/s. ASUS has introduced ZenPower, the company’s first 9600mAh portable power bank in Taiwan. It was originally introduced at the CES last month only to selected media and competes with Xiaomi’s 10400mAh power bank. It even looks similar to the Xiaomi Mi power bank. It weighs 215 grams and is 18mm thick, slightly lighter and thinner than the Mi 10400mAh power bank that weighs 250g and is 21.6mm thick. Other dimensions are almost similar.
