Lilliputian Systems, a company based in U.S. has announced Nectar Mobile Power System at the International Consumer Electronics Show 2013. The Nectar Mobile Power System is a portable charger, but it doesn’t use a battery that are used in conventional chargers. It uses an unique Nectar Pods cartridge that has been approved for carry-on and use aboard regular commercial aircraft by the UN International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and U.S. Department of Transportation. It offers 55000 mW-hours of energy providing 2+ weeks of power, which is about 10 charges for a typical smartphone. It has large 40mm 3-watt speaker that offers superior audio output and has HD Voice microphone for enhanced noise cancellation capabilities. This also lets you launch the Siri app on their iPhones to get driving directions, create quick calendar entries and more functions with a dedicated Voice Command button. It has motion sensor system which automatically turns on and off when users enter or leave their cars, thus eliminating unnecessary battery rundown when not in use. LG has launched ND8520 Speaker Dock for iPhone and iPad in India. You can dock your iPhone, iPod Touch or your iPad (with a 30-pin connector) to play music and it also has AirPlay support that lets you stream audio from these devices wirelessly. Samsung has announced that they have started producing new 64GB embedded flash memory for Smartphones and Tablets. The new Samsung Embedded Multimedia Card (eMMC) Pro Class 2000 delivers up to 260 MB/s (megabytes per second) sequential reading speeds and up to 50 MB/s sequential writing speeds. It offers random write speed of 2,000 IOPS (input/output per second) and a random read speed of 5,000 IOPS. These are up to 2 times faster than the eMMC Pro Class 1500 and up to 10 times faster than the normal class 10 memory cards.
