Reliance Jio today reported Rs. 6879.42 crore revenue, up 12.7% QoQ and a net profit of 504.38 crore for its second quarterly financial performance for the period that ended 31st December, 2017. Reliance Jio today reported Rs. 6,147 crore revenue and a net loss of 270.59 crore for its first quarterly financial performance for the period that ended 30th September, 2017. It reported Standalone earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of 1,443 crore and EBITDA margin of 23.5%, and Standalone earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) of 260 crore and EBIT margin of 4.2%. Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries at the company’s 40th annual AGM announced that Reliance Jio has crossed 125 million customers in 10 months of launch, adding 7 customers every second on average. He also said the company has over 100 million paid customers, since March, which is the biggest free to paid user migration, and most have recharged for Rs. 309 or more. Now, a latest report from Reuters states that police have detained a suspect in western Indian state of Rajasthan. The man is suspected to be involved in leaking personal data of over 120 million Jio users to a website named “Magicapk.com”.

Last year Reliance Jio started testing JioFiber. When it reported earnings last month, it said that it started roll-out of its Fibre to the Home (FTTH) business by offering beta trials in a few locations. Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) and its subsidiary Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL) today reported its financial performance for the quarter / year ended 31st March, 2017. Reliance Jio posted a net loss of Rs 22.50 crore for the six months period of October, 2016 till March 2017, up from Rs. 7.46 crore in the previous financial year.
