HMD Global’s Chief product officer Juho Sarvikas has confirmed that Nokia 2 will get Android 8.1 Oreo update directly skipping 8.0 update. HMD Global has scheduled an event in China on October 19th in China where the company is expected to launch a brand new phone. HMD Global has sent out invites for the launch of its new smartphone on August 16th. The invite says that press are invited to an “exclusive gathering” to check out “the next milestone for Nokia phones.” The company did not say it will unveil the Nokia 8 at the event, but will likely be the Nokia 8 that was rumored to be announced next week.
