Samsung stops Galaxy Note7 sales and exchanges, tells users to switch off device

Yesterday, it was reported that Samsung has halted production of Galaxy Note7. Now, the South Korean smartphone smartphone maker has announced that it is stopping sale and exchanges of the Galaxy Note7.

Samsung said as consumer safety is important for the company, it will ask all carrier and retail partners globally to stop sales and exchanges of the Galaxy Note7 while it is investigating the recently reported cases involving battery issues. AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon have stopped sales of the Note7. Going forward, the company is asking users to power down and stop using the device and take advantage of the remedies available.

Moving on Samsung also said users can exchange their current Galaxy Note7 for a Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 edge and replacement of any Galaxy Note7 specific accessories with a refund of the price difference between devices; or contact their point of purchase to obtain a full refund.
