Skitch 3.2 for iPhone and iPad brings new design and features

Evernote has updated its Skitch for iPhone and iPad to version 3.2. The new version brings up a major redesign to the app. You can now swipe  to pick the content you want to annotate, easily preview different tabs that you want to markup, faster annotation and just swipe to share. 

Google Glass to get improved photo sharing, world cup notifications and more

Google is updating Glass with a bunch of new features. For starters, the device is getting better photo sharing for Android users. The MyGlass app for Android will instantly upload a photo that is taken through the Glass.

LINE rolls out Selfie Sticker app for iPhone

LINE had released Line Selfie Sticker app for iPhone which lets users create selfie sticker. This means a user can take their own photo aka ‘selfie’ and choose from over 130 character templates. Finally, they have to fit the illustration to the original picture and tap it when they are done. 

LG G Watch to reportedly boast of 1.65 inch display, 4GB storage and 36 hours of battery life

More specifications and details of the LG G watch have leaked ahead of its official launch. The smartwatch from LG which is powered by Android wear will have a 1.65 inch 280 x 280 display.

iOS 8 includes code for running split screen applications

Steve Stroughton Smith, the well known iOS developer today confirmed what was already suspected for quite some time. Apple’s beta release of iOS 8 includes code that will allow users to run applications in a split screen configuration. The implementation is expected to allow users to easily move data from one app to the other.

Apple reportedly acquires social recommendation search app SpotSetter

In a bid to boost its mapping service, Apple has scooped up social search engine app SpotSetter, according to Techcrunch. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed by the company. Founded in 2011, SpotSetter provides personalized recommendations for places to go such as restaurants, stores and entertainment venues.

LinkedIn adds profile redesign for Premium users

LinkedIn is following footsteps of Facebook and Twitter by giving its user profile a makeover. Now, premium account users on LinkedIn can add background images to their profile pages which is similar to Facebook’s and Twitter’s cover photo feature. Users can either upload their own image, or select from a gallery of header images provided by LinkedIn.
