Australian Govt bans Huawei and ZTE from supplying technology for 5G mobile network

Australian Government  has banned Chinese telecoms firm Huawei Technologies from supplying equipment for a 5G mobile network as it is citing the risk of foreign interference and hacking. However, Beijing dismissed saying it as an“excuse” to tilt the playing field against a Chinese firm.

HTC schedules an event on August 30, U12 Life with 6-inch Full HD+ display, dual-rear cameras expected

HTC has scheduled an event on August 30th, just in time for the IFA 2018 in Berlin, where it is expected to introduce mid-range U12 Life smartphone codenamed Imagine Life. Specifications of the phone surfaced last month. Even a design sketch of the phone surfaced recently.

Facebook said to be working on ‘Aloha’ speech recognition

Facebook is said to be testing its own speech recognition with the new “Aloha” voice feature for both the Facebook and Messenger apps, as well as external hardware. This again is being spotted by the famous app investigator Jane Manchun Wong giving us the first look at a prototype for the Aloha user interface. 

Vivo V11 Pro with in-display fingerprint sensor, Halo FullView display launching in India on September 6

After a teaser, Vivo has officially confirmed that it will introduce the V11Pro, successor of  Vivo V9 that was launched back in March. The teaser also confirms display notch, which the company calls Halo FullView and an in-display fingerprint sensor. It also has an hashtag #UnlockTheAmazing

Apple Store in Amsterdam evacuated reportedly due to iPad battery explosion

According to reports, the Apple Store at Leidseplein in Amsterdam has been briefly evacuated earlier today likely after an iPad exploded due to battery overheating. Furthermore, three people reportedly suffered breathing problem, possibly due to vapors from a leaking battery. However, they were treated on site.
